Indian Creek School is looking to add to our pool of professional substitute teachers for early childhood, lower, middle and upper school.
Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Teach a dynamic and developmentally appropriate curriculum and program
- Work with the Division Principals to ensure a high quality education and the most engaging experience for students
- Collaboratively plan and implement interdisciplinary units with other co-curricular teachers, classroom teachers, or grade level teams
- Maintain positive relationships with students, staff, and parents
- Maintain confidentiality with student information and records
- Create a positive and safe classroom culture and community
- Actively participate in a professional learning community, including professional literature, peer coaching, reflection meetings, planning meetings, data meetings, and staff meetings
- Assist with all–school operations as needed (e.g. supervise lunch and recess)
Requirements:
- Educational philosophy aligns with the mission and vision of Indian Creek School
- Minimum of 48 college credits or higher
- Ability to collaborate with classroom teachers to develop interdisciplinary units
- Ability to work as part of a team to develop curriculum and assessments
- Ability to work with students from diverse backgrounds and with different learning styles
- Proficiency in technology, including both iPads and Microsoft products
- Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree
- Background Check (conducted by an agency designated by Indian Creek School)
