Responsibilities: 
Advancement’s Office of Alumni and Parent Programs is seeking a Student Creative Designer to support our Program Support Manager and alumni relations staff. 

Interested candidates must be savvy in creating communications and materials for branding and planned fundraising events. Must be adept in graphic design skills to create labels, name tags, and signage using InDesign, Illustrator, PowerPoint, and Photoshop. Incumbents will also be required to design event registrations and periodically assist with data entry using Raiser's Edge NXT software.   
 
Collaborate with multiple members of the APP team and be able to take direction from them on various projects as assigned, and report back on results in a timely fashion.  

Expected to work in person in the 700 Exchange St. office. Remote work from campus will be offered at the discretion of the Program Support Manager.  

Must sign a confidentiality agreement and complete PCI Compliance training.  

Requirements

Essential Functions:

  • Adherence to our confidentiality policy is a must - includes signing a confidentiality agreement and completing Data Security and PCI Compliance training  
  • Proficient with Raiser's Edge NXT (training will be provided) 
  • Experience with G Suite applications including Drive, Docs, Sheets, Slides, and Forms  
  • Keen eye for graphic design—both for print and virtual 
  • Strong knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite preferred 
  • Skilled at proofreading and English grammar essential 
  • Familiarity with video conferencing software, such as Zoom 
  • Creative, resourceful, thoughtful, and proactive   
  • Strong leadership skills and a desire to take initiative preferred  
  • Experience in a customer service or professional office setting is a plus  
  • Must demonstrate a strong commitment and a high level of reliability  
  • Must be well organized, detail oriented, articulate, and able to multi-task  
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team  
  • Flexible schedule preferred. A minimum number of hours per week is not a guarantee  

 

Student Employment Eligibility:

Unless restricted by certain visa status, all students with an active status for the semester are eligible for jobs on campus.

Students on leave or withdrawn are not eligible to work in student employment positions until the semester in which they return. If you are currently withdrawn or on leave you are eligible to be employed in staff positions.

Some may be restricted due to financial aid status. International students (non-resident aliens) may not work off campus unless they have applied for and received work authorization from the United States government. (An F-1 visa does not give work authorization.) Off campus work study positions are available only to U.S. citizens on financial aid with a federal work study component.

Student are not eligible to work remotely from International locations.

Hour Limitations:

All student employees are limited to working no more than 20 hours per week in on campus jobs during the academic year (this includes exam periods). The only exception is when there is a full week when school is not in session. Specifically: February recess, Spring recess, and full weeks of December or summer recess. During these time periods only, students can work up to 40 hours per week. International Students: Visa restrictions prohibit international students from exceeding 20 hours of work per academic calendar week.
