About the role
Point seeks a talented structured credit lead who has:
- Successful track record of leading new securitizations backed by Home Equity Investments while monitoring existing securitizations. A candidate who can take a deal from start to finish and is highly experienced in private and public RMBS and ABS markets.
- Capability of working across rating agencies, investment bankers, law firms, and syndicate investors.
- Experience in handling 4(a)(2) and 144A transactions. In this role, you will cover all types of structured credit transactions and financings for originators, purchasers, JV partnerships, and lenders in the HEI space, in addition to forward flow arrangements.
- Deep understanding of the markets, product class, and day-to-day operations of the team and company.

Your responsibilities
- Lead capital-related transactions from drafting to closing – including private and public transactions – by driving timelines and processes, overseeing the preparation and drafting of documents, and completion of the closing requirements.
- Drive structure and pricing negotiations.
- Track industry performance and analysis on HEIs while managing Point reporting requirements.
- Develop and manage relationships with capital partners and key transaction counterparties.
- Oversee the creation of marketing materials to support capital-related transactions.
- Manage reporting for existing transactions, including Intex reporting.
- Responsible for rating agency structure and modeling.
- Work closely with investment banks and law firms to structure and draft the transaction.
- Comfortable working with sophisticated bond buyers and presenting at investor meetings.
About you
- 6-8 years of structured credit/finance experience.
- Experienced track record of leading securitization and other complex capital market transactions.
- History of working cross-functionally inside and outside of the organization.
- Outward-facing experience with executives (ie investment banks, bond buyers, etc).
- Experience structuring large capital transactions.
- Deep familiarity with REMICs, debt-for-tax, and risk retention rules.
- Expert proficiency with Intex, Excel, Google Suite, and Bloomberg.
- Analytical and detail-oriented with strong organizational, project management, and problem-solving skills.
- Able to structure and model complex financial transactions.
- Effective, collaborative partner with internal and external partners.
- Well-refined communication skills. Can articulate ideas and strategies clearly, both verbally and in writing.
- A structured approach to problem-solving and the ability to maintain high-quality output even under time pressure.

Fully paid parental leave
- Point will true-up wages from state-applicable PFL earnings so that the employee’s total gross pay will be equivalent to 100% of their regular base pay, as well as two weeks of fully paid leave to be available after exhaustion of state PFL.
- For employees in states without Paid Family Leave, Point will provide up to 8 weeks of paid parental leave.
- In addition, all employees will receive 4 weeks of fully paid transition time. For four weeks after returning from parental leave, and following the use of all other paid leave benefits, you may work part-time, meaning two or three days per week, and receive 100% of regular base pay.

Compensation at Point will be determined by skills, experience, and geographic location. Point has identified the expected annual base salary range for roles at this level based on market by tiers (Region | Location | Market Range):
- Tier 1 | San Francisco Bay Area, New York, Los Angeles, & Seattle | $220,000 - $240,000
- Tier 2 | Chicago, Austin, Denver, Boston, Washington DC, San Diego | $187,000 - $204,000
- Tier 3 | All other US metro areas | $176,000 - $192,000
This does not include any other potential components of the compensation package, including equity, benefits, and perks outlined above. At the launch of each position, we benchmark compensation to the appropriate role and level utilizing competitive compensation data from various data sources as references. At the offer stage, we use the signal we received from our interviews coupled with your experience, location, and other job-related factors to determine final compensation.
