Structural Engineer III/VII

We are searching for a Structural Engineer who is able to provide structural support for various project types.

The position requires a Structural Engineer who ideally has their PE and/or SE license with 6-12 years of experience in structural design. Almost licensed candidates are also applicable so we can get you to where you want to be in your career. 

Our structural team has extensive experience with all types of vertical design projects: new buildings, substations, warehouses, stand-alone commercial buildings such as banks, stores, restaurants, parking garages, and mixed-use residential facilities up to 50 stories tall.

Our structural services also extend to the transportation and aviation industry: highway and railroad bridges, retaining walls, culverts, vaults, manholes, junction chambers, pump station wet wells and equipment shelters.

What you will do:

  • Review requests for engineering services to determine that adequate information is provided to complete service.
  • Review building/bridge structures and foundations for existing and proposed uses.
  • Work with existing processes to correctly open analysis projects. Perform analyses on projects of all levels of complexity using hand calculations, structural analysis software, and other accepted methods.
  • Review Quality Assurance (QA) and final review on structural analysis reports.
  • Generate required engineering reports.
  • Answer structure-related inquiries from internal and external customers.
  • Keep abreast of new technical methods and development related to structural engineering.
  • Complete specialized engineering assignments requiring complex calculations.
  • Provide assistance on unusual problems.
  • Ensure accurate project status reporting to facilitate accurate customer and sales reporting.

What we are looking for:

  • Experience drafting with AutoCAD and BIM a plus
  • Experience with the structural analysis  softwares, such as RISA-3D, STAAD, Tedds, D-CALC, L-Pile, Geopak, LEAP, ETABS and MathCAD

Your background:

  • Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Civil, or Structural Engineering, plus 6-12 years of structural engineering design experience
  • Structural engineering design experience of the type required for renovations, or repairs to steel and concrete buildings
