Wisk’s internship experience is a 12 week, hands-on program. Our goal for our internship program is to see what it’s like to be a full time Wisk employee and complete meaningful work.
We are looking for a Stress and Structures Certification Intern to join our team for summer 2025. The goal of a Stress and Structures Certification Intern at Wisk will be to assist the Stress and Structures Certification team in ensuring our structural integrity methods, approaches, and allowables are both technically sound, and in line with our longer term certification strategies.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in reviewing analysis tools and methodologies to ensure they are appropriately robust for longer term certification needs
- Assist in engineering development tests which will be used as a basis for developing engineering allowables and further refining analysis methods that are supported by test data
- Assist in the fabrication and manufacturing of coupon and/or detail structural test articles
- Assist in writing and reviewing structural test plans and reports
Requirements:
- Must be currently pursuing a bachelors, masters or PhD degree with an expected graduation date between December 2025 and June 2027
- Proficient in basic structural analysis (hand calcs, first principles, etc.)
- Have familiarity with finite element analysis and its associated basic principles
- Have experience in carrying out structural tests, such as coupon testing of laminates
Hourly rate will be $25 USD an hour.
This internship role will be based at Wisk's office in Mountain View, California and relocation or housing will not be provided.

Must live in the US at both the time of application AND at the time the internship begins
Must be either a rising sophomore, junior, or senior in college
Must have a minimum grade point average (GPA) of 3.0, transcripts are required
Must be an enrolled student at both the time of application AND at the time the internship begins
Must be able to work 40 hours a week for 12 weeks (full-time for 3 months)
