Strategy & Operations Analyst - UK

How you’ll make an impact As a Strategy & Operations Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in shaping Xero's future success in the UK. You will directly influence the long-term direction of our strategy by contributing to key strategic projects, including market research, competitive intelligence, and understanding customer needs. Your insights will help drive critical business decisions and inform the development of our regional operating plan. Furthermore, you will play a key role in the operational execution of key strategic initiatives. By collaborating with both UK and global teams, you will provide essential analysis to translate our strategy into actionable plans. Your ability to work effectively across functions will ensure alignment and drive the successful delivery of key programmes, ultimately contributing to Xero's growth and impact in the UK market. What you’ll do
  • Strategy:
  • Conduct comprehensive market research and analysis – including competitor, customer, and industry trends – to inform strategic decisions
  • Support delivery of strategic projects end-to-end, from defining problems and analysing root causes to developing solutions and recommending strategies and tactics to achieve business goals
  • Build financial models to evaluate new initiatives and growth opportunities
  • Collaborate closely with business experts across product, sales, and marketing to gather insights and ensure alignment
  • Create and deliver clear, high-quality presentations to senior leaders to communicate findings and recommendations
  • Operations:
  • Support the development and execution of the UK operating plan by driving initiatives, collaborating with stakeholders, and tracking progress.
  • Contribute to management reporting, including business performance reviews, while proactively identifying opportunities for reporting improvements and optimisation.
  • Collaborate with the Head of Operations, Director of GTM Execution and GTM teams to gather feedback, improve existing processes, and implement best practices to foster operational excellence and drive efficiencies.

  • You will be a well regarded member of a high performing team‬
  • What you’ll bring with you
  • Experience in Strategy roles, likely from a‬‭ consulting background
  • Bachelor or higher degree preferably in a quantitative field including Accounting, Economics, Business or Finance‬
  • Preferred: Familiarity with SaaS business‬‭ models, sales and marketing‬
  • Strong teamwork and cross-functional influencing skills, including experience in meeting and presenting to senior staff
  • Ownership mentality, curiosity and comfort with ambiguity and a high-paced environment
  • Strong analytical background with track record of analysing data from various sources into reports, analyse trends and make fact-based recommendations
  • Proficient in MS Office and/or G-suite and other analytical tools (e.g., SQL)
