About the Role
As a Strategy Director you are a leader who opens the aperture of opportunity on the account. You are highly collaborative with account and creative. Through directly managing junior planners &/or mentoring other Ogilvy strategists, you reinforce your own skillset. You aren’t just delegating; you create opportunities for people around you. You have a perspective on brands & consumers, and you speak from knowledge and experience, where your insight into consumer attitudes and behaviors is the source of your authority.
What You’ll Do
Develop brand strategies, write creative briefs, guide development and presentation of the cre ative work
Bring proactive ideas to clients to push brands into new spaces
Design and implementation of research projects to address client business issues, gain insight into
target audiences and testing ad concepts
Manage and direct a team of Senior Strategists, Strategists, Associate Strategists, Ogilvy Associates, and
interns who are assigned to the Strategy Director’s accounts
Provide professional development opportunities and on-the-job training as needed
What You’ll Need
7+ years of planning/brand strategy experience
Managerial experience
Ability to run day-to-day account work & pitches
Contributes thought leadership and best practices to the department
Comfortable with high-level client exposure; must be able to lead conversations, speak their language,
and interview C-Suite executives without a hitch
Strong stage presence
Experience working in the B2B space (understanding of Co-Op Marketing and Co-Branding a plus)
Ability to understand and work within complex businesses, with multiple marketing budgets and
stakeholders across various business units within one organization
Ability to balance clients’ long-term branding initiatives with short-term sales goals to develop
campaigns that work across time horizons and meet the needs of various stakeholders
Ability to understand complicated solutions (engines, powertrains, IT environments) and discover the
meaningful benefits they bring to B2B buyers

The base salary range for this position at the time of this posting is indicated below.
