Strategy and Planning Manager- US Tech

The U.S Technology, Manager of Strategy & Planning is responsible for bringing the U.S Technology vision to life! This role requires strong data visualization, organizational, & interpersonal skills to maintain insight into all technology initiatives and ensure accurate portfolio reporting. The Manager will be a steward of the McDonald’s U.S Governance Process, with a strong understanding of project intake, testing, and deployment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with the Technology Strategy team to maintain a high-level view of all technology projects, ensuring alignment with interpersonal goals.
  • Work with the U.S Prioritization Office to provide mentorship on technology implications for proposed projects.
  • Observe the U.S Prioritization Office triage process, providing feedback to influence decisions impacting the technology plan and portfolio.
  • Assist in maintaining the U.S Technology roadmap.
  • Partner with Project Managers to evaluate project status and advise outgoing reports.
  • Advise cross-functional teams about the governance process for technology initiatives.
  • Lead weekly Tech Governance meetings for cross-functional project assessment and approval.
  • Ensure regular and accurate reporting of technology program statuses to inform comprehensive reports for leadership.
  • Support and review monthly dashboard reports for accuracy.
  • Adjust processes, stage gates, governance, and forms for U.S Prioritization and Tech governance as needed.
  • Attend monthly governance working team meetings (GSET).

The expected salary range for this role is $112,860- $143,900/ per year

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, strategy, data analytics, marketing, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in consulting, operations, strategy, marketing operations, or cross-functional program management.
  • Outstanding critical thinking, problem-solving, presentation, and communication skills.
  • Strong decision-making abilities with a focus on measurable outcomes.
  • Excellent client-management skills.
  • Hard-working, diligent, and adaptable to changing priorities.
  • Proficiency in tools such as Microsoft Office Suite, Smartsheet, and other strategic planning platforms.
