We are seeking a highly motivated and analytical intern to join our Strategy and M&A team under the guidance of Deezer’s Chief Strategy Officer.
As an intern, you will have the unique opportunity to work closely with a team composed of 3 people coming from diverse backgrounds, including consulting and M&A, gaining hands-on experience in the dynamic and rapidly evolving music streaming industry.
This role offers exposure to critical strategic initiatives and the chance to contribute to the company's growth.
This is a 6-month internship starting in January 2025.
What you will do:
- Market Research: Conduct in-depth market research and analysis to identify trends, competitive landscape, and emerging opportunities in the music streaming and entertainment industry
- Strategic Planning: Collaborate with the team to develop and refine corporate strategies, including market entry, growth, and expansion plans
- Presentations: Prepare and contribute to presentations for senior leadership, summarising findings, recommendations, and insights
- Due Diligence: Assist in conducting due diligence on potential M&A targets, including financial analysis, market positioning, and risk assessment
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with teams across the organization, including finance, legal, and product, to support the execution of strategic initiatives
This role is excellent for a person with:
- You are currently in a final year or gap year (“césure”) at a top tier business or engineering school
- A first experience with a well-known international consulting firm or in corporate finance (investment banking, private equity) would be highly appreciated
- You have strong analytical skills with excellent research and problem-solving abilities
- Able to work in a fast paced, collaborative and international environment
- You have excellent written and oral communication skills, both in English and in French
- You are attracted by the tech / start-up environment and a passion for the music and entertainment industry is a plus
- Proficiency in Powerpoint and Excel
