Job Description

Butterfly is preparing for the next phase of growth and looking for exceptional candidates to help drive growth in the South of the UK within the NHS and private healthcare sectors. This individual will be proactive, strategic, have a deep understanding of the healthcare landscape and can talk to both the hardware and software aspects of the Butterfly Network solution. 

We are looking for passionate and dynamic individuals that see themselves as “hunters”, innovators, healthcare experts, and have the confidence to perform product demonstrations, work with clinicians and industry experts to run workshops and educational events and build a robust pipeline of opportunities and converted sales within their region. 

The role of a Strategic Sales Executive is a unique opportunity to be part of a fast growing, leading edge, technology super-charged company, responsible for driving revenue utilizing self-guided performance and experience based practices in one of our key global strategic markets.

Core Responsibilities

  • Execute the Go-To-Market strategy for Butterfly’s Medical Device and Software/Enterprise Service solutions with Core focus areas in Emergency Medicine, Acute Internal Medicine, Intensive Care, Anaesthesia, Obstetrics and Medical Education. 
  • We are looking for Hunters! Utilize tools like usage data of our existing install base to constantly drive new business opportunities! 
  • Develop and nurture strategic accounts and work with existing customers helping them leverage Butterfly hardware and software solutions across their respective organizations. 
  • Consistently seeking new sales opportunities through customer research, account planning & prospecting
  • Qualify Enterprise sales opportunities based on Butterfly´s value proposition and services
  • Deliver in depth product demonstrations and tailor each presentation to the audience and their requirements. 
  • Implementing, training and onboarding new and existing customers alongside regional CSM
  • Maintain accurate records of sales activities and forecasted opportunities through Salesforce CRM
  • Effectively leveraging internal resources (marketing, customer success, product team, and senior executives) to ensure success and market capture.
  • Build a network of Key opinion leaders within your region. 
  • Be in front of your customers: 90% of your work will be conducted in the field, partnering with clients within your region to help them implement Butterfly solutions within their organization. 

Experience

  • Sales and Business development experience, preferably with a focus on the healthcare or medical device industry. While previous experience in the Medical field is desirable, it is not essential. 
  • A proven track record of success in your current field with evidence of over achieving or exceeding KPIs, Targets and deliverables. 
  • Experience in identifying and developing new business opportunities with a focus on long term growth. 

Skills and Attributes

  • Intellectually curious, strategic, and thrive on diving into complex problems. Be able to  develop and articulate clear fact-driven recommendations
  • Strong Sales acumen with demonstrated ability to identify, pursue and secure new business opportunities with a “hunter” mindset
  • Tenacity and persistence with the resilience to overcome obstacles and the determination to pursue targets relentlessly
  • Integrity and ethics with commitment in adhering to the highest ethical standards in all of your day to day activities. This will be at the core of every interaction you have with clients, colleagues and industry partners. 
  • Excellent communication skills with proven ability to present to a broad range of stakeholders from clinical users to C suite executives and decision makers. 
  • Analytical abilities with competence in analyzing market trends, customer needs and keeping up to date with the competitive landscape to inform and execute sales strategies. 
  • Have an innate ability to establish and nurture long term relationships with key opinion leaders within clinical, operational, financial and executive leadership positions.  

Qualifications

  • A degree in business, marketing, healthcare administration or a related field. Advanced degrees and qualifications/certifications in sales, marketing or healthcare would be considered advantageous. 

Ideally, you also have some/all of these skills/experiences/attributes (but it’s ok if you don’t!):

  • Healthcare related qualifications such as Sonographer, Radiographer, ODP, Nurse, Physio etc but wanting to now make an impact to patient care in a medical device sales and support role. 
  • A proven network of Key Opinion leaders across clinical, operational, procurement and funding pathways with industry knowledge in the respective region.
  • In Depth Understanding of ultrasound technology across different care settings
  • Value based solution selling, negotiation and decision-making skills and experience
  • Knowledge in cloud based and app based digital health applications in a NHS healthcare setting
  • Experience in a fast-paced startup 
  • Salesforce.com experience
