Reporting into the Executive Director, Global Account in the region, the Global Strategic Account Manager (SAM) is responsible for all commercial activities related to their designated Strategic Accounts and accountable for meeting the global target set by NIQ GfK. The SAM closely collaborates with the regional and local Sales teams as well as Client Solution Teams to achieve these financial objectives for their Accounts.
Responsibility:
- Consistently meet global sales targets on both a monthly and quarterly basis, managing all regional and local accounts under the same global account headquarters.
- Ensure pipeline adequacy to meet sales targets at all times, managing the overall account pipeline effectively.
- Ensure regional and local teams comprehend and implement the account plan.
- Foster and maintain C-suite level relationships to enhance upsell opportunities.
- Support to expand client connections at a regional and local level.
- Oversee client service and management, building strong relationships with key client stakeholders.
- Identify and develop growth opportunities using GfK tracking data to meet client needs.
- Understand clients' business strategies to tailor commercial approaches.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with key decision makers.
- Lead Local/Regional account managers to ensure overall progress on global, regional and local level client engagement by supporting regular communication and close collaboration.
- Identify potential problems and propose pro-active solutions to meet client needs.
- Minimum of 7 years in the research industry, preferably within the technical consumer goods industry.
- A good degree preferably in Business/Market Research/Statistics.
- Candidates with experience in Market research, Sales and client management
- Strong client focus.
- Ability to quickly grasp and understand markets, methodologies and techniques.
- Ability to make strong engagement with clients’ key stakeholders and C-Suite.
- Excellent sales/negotiation skills and a hunger to develop new business.
- Good interpersonal and relationship building skills (internal, external, and cross-cultural)
- Able to communicate effectively with all levels within internal and external organization.
- Ability to negotiate high value contracts at a senior level.
- Strong focus to close deals, strong result-orientation.
- Understanding of GfK/NIQ solutions to translate client needs into GfK/NIQ’s product portfolio.
- Business/fluent in both Japanese and English
