Job Description

Butterfly is preparing for the next phase of growth and looking for exceptional candidates to help drive growth in the DACH region. This individual will be proactive, strategic, have a deep understanding of the healthcare landscape and can talk to both the hardware and software aspects of the Butterfly Network solution. We are looking for POCUS experts that see themselves as “hunters”, innovators, healthcare experts, and have the confidence to perform product demonstrations in a virtual environment.

The role of the Strategic Account Manager is a unique opportunity to be part of a fast growing, leading edge, technology super-charged company, responsible for driving revenue utilizing self-guided performance and experience based practices. 

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Strategic Account Manager to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing key accounts within the healthcare sector, particularly large hospital and medical faculties. The role involves overseeing all aspects of account management, including relationship building, contract negotiation, and strategic planning to drive business growth and success. 

As part of our sales team your Key Responsibility will be:

  • Account Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders within large hospitals, including executives, physicians, and department heads, c-suite level, procurement, IT and data security officers.
  • Strategic Planning: Develop and execute strategic plans to achieve sales targets and business objectives within assigned accounts. 
  • Contract Negotiation: Lead contract negotiations with hospital administrators, ensuring agreements are tailored to meet the specific needs of each account. 
  • POCUS Expertise: Utilize Point-of-Care Ultrasound (POCUS) knowledge to effectively communicate product benefits and provide value-added solutions to customers. 
  • SaaS and Cloud Applications: Leverage expertise in Software as a Service (SaaS) and cloud applications to deliver innovative solutions that meet customer requirements. 
  • Project Management: Oversee large, multi-dimensional projects from initiation to completion, ensuring timely delivery and customer satisfaction. Facilitate calls between Butterfly team and customer in English/German and if needed translate for comprehension and successful execution. 
  • Forecasting and Pipeline Management: Analyze market trends, forecast sales, and manage the sales pipeline to drive revenue growth. 
  • Prospecting and Funnel Management: Identify new business opportunities, qualify leads, and manage the sales funnel to ensure a steady flow of prospects.
  • Territory Coordination: Collaborate with internal teams and Strategic Account Manager to coordinate efforts across territories and accounts, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives. 
  • Onboarding, Training and Support: Provide training and support to Enterprise customers on product features, benefits, and best practices.
  • Education and training Maintaining accurate records of sales activities and forecasted opportunities through Salesforce CRM
  • Effectively leveraging internal resources (marketing, customer success, product team, and senior executives) to ensure success
  • Extensive travel in DACH region required (80%) 

Qualifications

Baseline skills/experiences/attributes:

  • Proven experience in strategic account management within the healthcare industry  with multiple stakeholders in large hospitals and education facilities.
  •  Ability to manage large, multi-dimensional projects with meticulous attention to detail. 
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in the DACH market in an Enterprise/SaaS Sales and/or Medical Device Environment
  • Strong negotiation skills with a track record of successful contract closures
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with diverse stakeholders.
  • Professional level fluency in German (C2 level)  as well as English required
  • Local KOL and client relationship network and industry knowledge in respective markets to lean on for quick update
  • Thrive in a fast paced environment, and ability to ramp up business within a short period of time
  • Ability to work as part of a team but also be comfortable with a remote work environment (home-office) managing your day like it is your own business

Ideally, you also have some of these skills/experiences/attributes (but it’s ok if you don’t!):

  • Understanding of ultrasound technology
  • Experience with SaaS and cloud applications, with a solid understanding of their benefits and implementation
  • Experience with implementing, onboarding and training enterprise customers
  • IT, software and/or hospital EMR integration sales experience 
  • CRM - Salesforce.com experience

Location

  • This role is based in Germany and the employee must already be residing in Germany.
