Efficiency in the receipt of stock into the Stores from suppliers
Accuracy in the quantity and quality of stock delivered by the supplier
Proper accounting for all stock upon receipt into the Warehouse
Standardized and efficient procedures in handling non-conforming materials that have been supplied to DCP
Standardized and consistent method for placing requests for stock and accurate recordkeeping of stock issues
Minimum level of stock is always available to aid DCP‟s continuous operations
Continuous checks are done to ensure stocks are not tampered with
Expired and damaged materials are proactively identified, recorded, and treated
Accurate physical and system accounting for all stock items within the warehouse, adequate safeguards to avoid/minimize the occurrence of misappropriation, or theft of inventory items
Proactive identification, investigation, and resolution of issues/ exceptions in respect of inventory management
To ensure appropriate processing of damaged/ missing stock
Accurately track efficiencies and highlight deficiencies in the materials storage and issue processes
Provide Management with information concerning stock positions, exceptions/ critical issues noted during the stock count process and suggest action plans for the following month
Maintain store staff job results by coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; planning, monitoring and appraising job results
Protect employees and customers by providing a safe and clean store environment
Provide training to improve the knowledge base of the staff and utilize cross-training methods to maintain productivity when employees are absent
Manage stock levels and make key decisions about stock control
Any other assigned duties by Plant Director.
Requirements
HND with 2 years’ experience or B.Sc. in (Stores Management/Logistics) or its equivalent in any discipline.
