About The Opportunity

As a Staff Web UI Engineer at OKX, you will collaborate with an elite front-end development team to build high-performance solutions for a world-class digital asset trading platform serving millions of active users. You’ll have the chance to shape the future of Web3 with scalable, efficient, and accessible web applications. For the right candidate, we are also open to considering a Senior Staff level!

What You'll Be Doing

  • Develop high-performance, scalable front-end solutions that support continuous integration and deployment, enhancing the experience for millions of users.
  • Design and build reusable modules, automated testing frameworks, and deployment pipelines to drive development efficiency and quality.
  • Research and resolve complex technical challenges, designing sustainable architectures and frameworks for long-term solutions.
  • Optimize web performance metrics such as LCP, INP, and CLS, and define best practices to ensure a seamless user experience.
  • Implement fully accessible web features that meet the highest standards of web accessibility, ensuring inclusivity for all users.
  • Mentor and technically lead the team, guiding them through technical challenges and driving best practices across projects.
  • Act as the first line of defense for compliance, ensuring our solutions align with global standards and regulations.

What We Look For In You

  • Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM).
  • 8+ years of experience in front-end development with a proven track record of delivering impactful solutions.

Required Skills

  • Deep expertise in front-end frameworks (HTML5, CSS3, TypeScript, etc.) and proficiency in packaging workflows with tools like npm, Vite/Webpack, and Git.
  • Strong capability in cross-browser development, with a deep understanding of browser differences and effective problem-solving for incompatibility issues.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to translate complex business and technical architectures into simple, actionable insights.
  • Significant experience in web performance optimization, driving measurable improvements in speed and efficiency.

Nice to Haves

  • Experience with multilanguage support (i18n) to build inclusive global solutions.
  • Familiarity with Web Accessibility for WCAG AAA compliance, creating inclusive and accessible web environments.
  • Passion for crypto and a deep interest in the future of Web3.

OKX Statement

The base salary range for this position is $200,000 to $280,000. The salary offered depends on a variety of factors, including job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and market location. In addition to the salary, a performance bonus and long-term incentives may be provided as part of the compensation package, as well as a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered.
