Job Title-Staff QA Engineer

Job Description:
Extreme Networks is searching for a Staff QA engineer to help validate the Extreme Cloud SD-WAN & SASE solution. As a member of the team, you will have the opportunity to contribute to the planning, execution and automation of the test cases as well as come up with test strategies to validate the features in the Extreme Cloud SD-WAN & SASE product.
Job Responsibilities:
- Plan, Develop, Execute and Automate Test suites for our Cloud-based Networking applications
- Perform functional, integration, performance and scale, load Validations
- Work closely with Product Owners, Development, CloudOps and other teams on the above
- Review customer deployments and customer-found issues and address any gaps in the test coverage
- Automation of features from an end-to-end perspective - API and GUI.
- Review automation code written by other team members, and give feedback.
- API Testing (Functional, Security aspects and Scale/Performance) (REST preferred)
Qualifications:
- Hands-on experience working with Networking products
- Good debugging skills in a microservices-oriented architecture product
- Familiarity with Traffic Generators (Ixia/Spirent/Ostinato/Iperf/Octoscope/Veriwave) and Network debugging tools (Sniffers, - Wireshark, ping, traceroute etc.)
- A detailed understanding of cloud technologies and containerization tools such as Docker and Kubernetes
- Comfortable with SQL/NoSQL databases such as PostgreSQL/Redis and monitoring tools like Grafana, Prometheus
- Applied experience with version control systems such as Git, Github
- Application Performance Testing using tools such as Jmeter, BlazeMeter
- Automation – API Automation using Tools such as Postman, Newman
- Automation – UI Automation using Selenium, Robot Framework and Python
- Ability to identify and automate repeated day-to-day activities
- Ability and willingness to work independently
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Curiosity and mindset to challenge the status quo
- Ability to clearly articulate and report the risks and mitigations to management
Other Desired Qualifications
- Experience of working on Cloud-based Networking Products or Microservices architecture-based applications
- Exposure to SDWAN/SASE Applications testing
- Domain-based Certifications - Cloud-based Certifications, Python Certifications and Networking certifications
