At Supernova, we provide cutting-edge technology solutions that empower businesses and individuals to achieve their full potential. We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Staff Software Engineer to contribute to the continuous improvement of platform development.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Collaborating with product managers, architects, and other stakeholders to define and prioritize requirements and translate business requirements into actionable technical specifications.
- Coordinating the cross-team development effort among the API / Data Access Layer / Data ETL. Designing technical solutions that are efficient and comprehensive, adhering to best practices and meeting business requirements.
- Participating in architecture and design discussions, contributing to the overall technical vision and direction of the team.
- Addressing technical debt and driving improvements in the team's software development processes and practices.
- Reviewing unit tests and integration tests to ensure code quality and reliability. Continuously improving the performance, reliability, and security of our web services.
- Assisting in the recruitment, onboarding, and training of new team members.
- Staying up to date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in API development and ETL development, sharing knowledge and insights with the team.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus.
- At least 5 years of software development experience with a focus on API development and Relational Database design. Java and Spring Boot for backend development is preferred. Experience with AWS is a plus. Expertise in python ETL is a plus.
- Strong analytical, detail-oriented problem-solving abilities and excellent communication, capable of both independent work and effective collaboration in a team environment
- Demonstrated experience in building and maintaining unit tests and integration tests Familiarity with test automation tools and frameworks Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and CI/CD pipelines.
- Knowledge of micro-services, event-driven architecture and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) is preferred.
