Purpose
As a Staff Engineer, you will play a critical role in designing, developing, and delivering cutting-edge solutions that drive the success of our products and services. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, mentor junior engineers, and contribute to architectural decisions that shape the future of our technology stack.

Key Responsibilities

  • Shape and execute the Mobile technology strategy within Kueski, setting a clear long-term vision for mobile development.
  • Understand the underlying problems in technical challenges and propose strategic solutions.
  • Guide the team technically, promoting best practices in architecture and code.
  • Collaborate closely with stakeholders and influence decision-making based on data and strategic thinking.
  • Mentor and support the team to improve their technical skills, ensuring alignment with the organization's tech vision.
  • Lead initiatives that foster proactive solutions, staying ahead of potential challenges.
  • Ensure the team remains focused on the objectives of projects, continuously driving improvements.

Position Requirements

  • Bachelor's/Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
  • At least 9+ years of experience as a software engineer with a strong technical background in mobile development.
  • Familiar with using simulators and defining test cases to debug code, optimize performance, and improve reliability.
  • Expertise in tools for monitoring and troubleshooting API issues and services.
  • Experience setting up CI/CD pipelines to automate deployment processes.
  • Proven ability to define architectures and patterns, with the ability to clearly articulate the pros and cons of different approaches.
  • Experience with A/B testing and progressive rollouts for mobile apps.
  • Strong skills in app performance optimization and ensuring scalability.
  • Deep understanding of how to build modular mobile applications.
  • Experience developing and deploying mobile applications on Google Play/App Store.

  • Nice to have:
  • Working with Flutter/Dart packages

Key areas of expertise

  • Building iOS apps from scratch, with experience in defining and implementing:
  • Deeplinks for seamless navigation.
  • Feature Flags to enable dynamic feature toggling.
  • Design Systems to ensure consistency across the app.
  • Logging for monitoring and debugging.
  • Hardware Management, including interactions with GPS, Camera, NFC, etc.
  • Offline Management to ensure app functionality without internet access.
  • Navigation Strategy to improve user experience.
  • Performance Enhancement techniques to optimize app speed and reliability.
  • Architectural Patterns to build scalable and maintainable applications.
