Why We Need you!

We are looking for a collaborative Staff Software Engineer to join our team and contribute to the maintenance efforts for the Ivanti File Director product. In this role, you will work closely with a team of experienced engineers to ensure the stability, scalability, and security of the File Director product. Your focus will be on bug fixes, security vulnerability work, and implementing shift-left testing strategies to uphold the high quality of our releases.

What You Will Be Doing:

• Collaborate with the Principal Software Engineer and cross-functional teams to address bug fixes and security vulnerabilities and implement shift-left testing strategies for the Ivanti File Director product.
• Utilize your FreeBSD, Ruby, Java, Spring Framework, HTML, CSS, and Angular development expertise to contribute to technical solutions and enhance product features.
• Participate in code reviews, ensure adherence to coding standards.
• Assist in developing and maintaining technical documentation for the File Director product.
• Stay updated with the latest technologies and industry trends relevant to software maintenance, bug fixes, security vulnerabilities, and testing strategies.
• Collaborate closely with customer support and quality assurance teams to address customer-reported issues and ensure timely resolution.

To Be Successful in The Role, You Will Have:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 8+ years of experience in software development, with proficiency in FreeBSD, Ruby, Java, Spring Framework, HTML, CSS, and Angular development.
• Experience with C++ development is advantageous.
• Familiarity with software development methodologies, principles, and best practices.
• Demonstrated experience in bug fixing, addressing security vulnerabilities, and implementing shift-left testing strategies.
• Knowledge of automated testing methodologies and tools.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate within a team environment.
• Previous experience in maintaining software projects is desirable.
