Aurora hires talented people with diverse backgrounds who are ready to help build a transportation ecosystem that will make our roads safer, get crucial goods where they need to go, and make mobility more efficient and accessible for all.  The Aurora Product Strategy team drives the development of our roadmap and plans to transform the logistics industry and ultimately mobility. In this role, you will first focus on our commercial truck offering, Aurora Driver for Freight and the tools and support services necessary to operationalize this technology. As a Product Strategy lead, you will collaborate widely to ensure that the Aurora delivers the products that solve customer pain-points and result in mutual ROI.  You will work highly cross functionally to identify growth opportunities, lead the optimization of our fleet and network, support our go-to-market efforts, deliver high-level requirements, and develop the product roadmap to realize them. Aurora is building transformational products in the massive transportation industry, and this is an opportunity to be an integral part of its strategic development.

In this role, you will

  • Lead the development of core elements of the Aurora Product Strategy, which includes its expansion roadmap, fleet and network optimization, and go-to-market plans. 
  • Work with cross-functional teams of product managers, engineers, data scientists, and other product professionals to define Aurora’s product direction and define actionable next steps.
  • Be a trusted advisor to product management and business leadership, helping answer foundational questions to plan and accelerate product adoption.
  • Develop market entry plans that align market opportunity with technical capability.
  • Extract insights from data to inform and prioritize strategic business and technical decisions.
  • Plan and lead complex projects, prioritize tasks and engage stakeholders appropriately.
  • Be measured by the insights you give, effectiveness of your communication, and the initiative to drive ideas and put them into action.

Required Qualifications

  • At least 5+ years of work experience in at a fast-growing tech company or transportation/logistics ideally in product management, strategy, network or finance.
  • Degree in a quantitative field such as Business, Economics, Finance, Math, Statistics, Engineering, or Computer Science.
  • Data driven and tech-savvy - you have the ability to derive conclusions and insights from multiple data sources.
  • Problem solving - you are able to approach unstructured problems and analytically structure business frameworks supported by strategic/financial models to find the right answers.
  • Strong quantitative reasoning - you are excited to dive into large/complex datasets and can visualize data effectively, translating your analysis into actionable insights.
  • Independent doer - you have an ownership mindset and strong work ethic with a high level of responsibility and ability to work with minimal supervision. Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Team player - you have experience collaborating with cross-functional teams and have demonstrated versatility in navigating a complex corporate environment
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.

Desirable Qualifications

  • Work experience in the mobility, logistics or transportation industry.
  • Experience developing strategic plans and/or implementing projects for the transportation industry.
  • Working familiarity with SQL, scripting languages (Python), or BI platforms (e.g., Holistics, Mode, Looker, Tableau, Quicksight) for analysis.

The base salary range for this position is $181k-$290K per year. Aurora’s pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, the successful candidate’s starting base pay will be determined based on factors including job-related skills, experience, qualifications, relevant education or training, and market conditions. These ranges may be modified in the future. The successful candidate will also be eligible for an annual bonus, equity compensation, and benefits.
