About the Role

Do you want to work in a highly collaborative environment to reinvent how a large piece of the local economy works? We’re looking for a product manager to partner with engineers and designers to develop great solutions for Thumbtack’s customers and professionals. You’ll work on a variety of projects across the product with a diverse set of team members. Our Customer Growth PMs work across a variety of product areas depending on business needs including customer acquisition, partnerships product experiences and conversion optimization.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with engineers, designers, analysts and data scientists to ideate, prioritize and deliver great solutions for our customers and professionals
  • Define and analyze key metrics to inform decision-making and measure success
  • Conduct user research and lightweight tests to scope and prioritize product initiatives
  • Coordinate within your team and among teams at Thumbtack to ensure understanding of and alignment around projects
  • Work closely with our marketing and/or business development teams to help us achieve business outcomes by leveraging the right product experiences
  • Lead a significant portion of our product experience and be accountable for business outcomes
  • Wear many hats and be key organizational glue

What you’ll need

  • 7+ years of product management experience building consumer web or mobile products
  • Excellent user-centric design and product sense
  • Excellent analytical skills to break down and solve complex problems
  • Proven ability to collaborate cross-functionally
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Excellent business judgment
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment

Bonus points if you have 

  • Experience working at a high-growth startup
  • Prior accountability for business outcomes
  • Experience in customer acquisition or conversion optimization
  • Experience working directly on partnerships products or partnerships teams
  • Experience working directly with marketing teams

For candidates living in San Francisco / Bay Area, New York City, or Seattle metros, the expected salary range for the role is currently $233,750.00 - $302,500.00. Actual offered salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as calibrated job level, qualifications, skills, competencies, and proficiency for the role.

For candidates living in all other US locations, the expected salary range for this role is currently $198,687.50 - $257,125.00. Actual offered salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as calibrated job level, qualifications, skills, competencies, and proficiency for the role.
