The role:
As a Senior Product Manager within the Card Processing team, you will own defining, executing, and delivering a product roadmap for our core financial products (Debit Cards, DDA Accounts, etc.). We are on a journey to create a cloud-powered financial platform that democratizes access to financial services for our clients and their customers. You will help shape our current product investments to create a more modern and cloud based offering that helps solve the pain points of our B2C and B2B clients and help them innovate.
To be successful, you’ll need to bridge technical and business worlds, engaging with matrixed teams including engineering, design, sales, operations, finance, legal, risk, compliance, and other product managers. You'll define and prioritize features, and drive internal stakeholder and external partner engagements necessary for the delivery of products and solutions that enable our clients to power the next generation of companies.
In this role you will be expected to independently interface and drive discussions and decisions with stakeholders from product, engineering, various business units and operations.
What you’ll do:
- Prioritize and drive product backlogs with your dedicated and dependent engineering teams
- Understand complex business and operational requirements and break them down into epics and user stories for engineering teams
- Continuously monitor for opportunities, respond to production concerns, and provide innovative solutions that conform to high security standards while maintaining a delightful user experience.
- Understand the full card and token lifecycle and offer insights into enhancement opportunities that will improve SLA.
- Lead the strategy and execution for innovative authorization solutions and build secure products that improve authorization while reducing fraud.
- Collaborate with various internal teams such as infrastructure, networking, security, compliance, relationship managers and external teams like payment card networks to build seamlessly integrated solutions.
- Be the voice of the customer, understand their pain points and work with various internal team members to provide a complete solution.
- Work with internal project stakeholders from marketing, sales, operations to translate customer needs into meaningful products while leading go to market activities like client communication and pricing strategy.
- Lead in a fast-paced, agile, multi-country, dynamic environment
What you’ll need:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher with a technical discipline and 8+ years product management experience OR
- Advanced degree or MBA with BS or higher in Computer Science preferred and 6+ years of product management experience
- Domain knowledge of card issuing, processing and reconciliation services. Exposure to mobile and digital wallets processing is a plus.
- Superior written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to understand and discuss technical concepts, manage trade offs, and evaluate opportunistic new ideas with internal and external partners
- Highly organized and capable of helping teams navigate ambiguity and execute with confidence
- Ability to work with remote teams
