Product Design at Gusto is made up of over 60 creative, collaborative people who care deeply about our mission to empower small businesses and their employees. Our Tax Credits team at Gusto is bringing to life an 'emerging market' product for our customers. We aim to help guide them through intricate tax credit regulations, unlock financial opportunities and extend the runway for their businesses. The Tax Credits team has ambitious goals to drastically simplify and demystify the complex world of tax credits in order to drive significant customer value and revenue for our business.
About the opportunity
As a Staff Product Designer for Tax Credits, you’ll be responsible for helping to shape and execute on this newly reformed 0-to-1 team to drive product market fit and business and customer value. You’ll be expected to craft high quality and intuitive end-to-end experiences for our customers. The work on Tax Credits is high visibility, high impact experiences that balance complex technical, compliance, and service requirements. You will play a pivotal role in simplifying the intricate journey of discovering and securing tax credits, ensuring it's approachable, user-friendly, and stress-free. Gusto is first and foremost customer-driven. We take pride in making informed decisions based on customer research and data while balancing short and long term technical decisions. We offer competitive compensation packages with a strong emphasis on equity based compensation (ownership in Gusto). Our cash compensation range for this role is $139,000/yr to $199,000/yr in Denver & most remote locations, and $179,000/yr to $221,000/yr in Seattle, San Francisco & New York. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors, including candidate experience and expertise, and may vary from the amounts listed above.
Gusto has physical office spaces in Denver, San Francisco, and New York City. Employees who are based in those locations will be expected to work from the office on designated days approximately 2-3 days per week (or more depending on role). The same office expectations apply to all Symmetry roles, Gusto's subsidiary, whose physical office is in Scottsdale.
Note: The San Francisco office expectations encompass both the San Francisco and San Jose metro areas.
When approved to work from a location other than a Gusto office, a secure, reliable, and consistent internet connection is required.
