We’re looking for a talented and highly collaborative Staff Product Designer to help lead the vision of TextNow’s user experience. Someone who has a human-focused design mentality, who learns about people, gathers insights, and turns those insights into beautifully simple solutions for our users.
At TextNow, you’ll take on a wide range of problems with an ability to execute quickly, making an impact on the lives of the millions of people who depend on our products daily.
What You'll Do:
- Listen to our users, learn about them, and turn your insights into elegant yet practical solutions and products.
- Drive the holistic vision across the entire experience while leading large scope projects and guiding multiple designers.
- Partner with product managers and engineers, providing thought leadership to develop the right product strategy together.
- Utilize data and research to solve core user and business problems with innovative solutions.
- Rapidly produce multiple holistic design concepts and knowing when to produce low fidelity sketches, prototypes, or pixel perfect mockups.
- Validate your designs through user research, usability testing, experimentation and data.
- Build forward-thinking design patterns drive our unified design system.
- Join an awesome team and provide mentorship to other designers, fueling professional growth and inspiration.
Who you are:
- 10 years of experience as a Product Designer with Mobile Apps
- A leader who takes a human-centered approach to design, which can be demonstrated in your portfolio of work.
- You have a proven track record of solving problems for users and creating exceptional experiences across iOS, Android, and Web.
- Brilliant, but not a jerk, you’re a designer leader who can innovate within constraints who is supportive, kind, respectful of everyone you work with.
- Someone who takes action and ownership, drives a variety of high-impact initiatives while contributing to the vision, strategy, and execution of our product.
- You are highly collaborative and clearly communicate design decisions and rationale to stakeholders.
- A bold risk-taker and self-starter who is a strategic thinker that builds forward-thinking design patterns and is experienced with implementing unified design systems.
- Resourceful and scrappy with the ability to iterate and learn quickly, utilizing prototypes and user feedback to validate your designs.
- Innately curious problem solver, you always want to learn more, thinking of ways to solve problems, and then drives those solutions.
