We are looking for a highly skilled Staff Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in backend engineering, particularly with building connectors for enterprise data platforms. This role will focus on high-level architecture and mentoring junior engineers.
What will you do? 🤔
- Understand and build specific package connectors for enterprise data platforms.
- Design and implement high-level architecture for enterprise connectors.
- Mentor and groom junior engineers working on these connectors.
- Understand and build source-specific packages focused on crawling, mining, and migrating metadata from multiple data sources.
- Work closely with our field teams to unblock customers and partners during onboarding as a technical subject matter expert.
- Deploy and maintain the packages on the Atlan Metadata Marketplace.
- Drive innovation and enhance developer productivity for users of Atlan.

- 10 to 15 years of backend development experience as an individual contributor.
- Experience working at scale, ensuring the performance and reliability of large-scale systems.
- Proven experience in building and deploying data pipelines.
- Experience leading customer and partner calls as a technical SME, with the ability to provide support for the packages you own.
- Proficiency with Kubernetes and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Hands-on experience with Python, Kotlin, and Argo.
- Strong leadership skills with a track record of mentoring and developing junior engineers.
- Data, preferably in SaaS.
