Zenjob is on the mission to become the digital staffing platform delivering companies best staffing experience with the highest flexibility and reliability, and workers the best choice and fair pay for side jobs. Our service is available in over 39 cities in Germany. Our growth financing round of $50 million (€45 million) from February 2022 is helping us to scale our platform and add new data-based automation features for our rapidly growing customer base.
What you’ll be doing
- Drive cross functional data science projects to understand, predict and influence the behaviour of our users both on B2C and B2B sides
- Optimise our product by leveraging advanced analytics and Machine Learning solutions
- Train, deploy and integrate production ready models to our backend/frontend services
- Design and evaluate A/B tests to validate hypothesis and measure the impact of our solutions
- Build data tools for product managers, empowering them to deliver actionable insights and recommendations for respective teams
- Collaborate closely with colleagues from Data Science and Analytics team, provide input and critical reviews to the projects executed by members of the team
- Having day-to-day autonomy, discover where and when your help is needed most, help solving big-picture problems
- Define and guide the organization’s data strategy by identifying opportunities for data-driven decision-making
- Work closely with product managers, engineering teams, and business stakeholders to align data science initiatives with organizational goals and ensure successful implementation
What you’ll bring
- Degree in a quantitative field (e.g. math, physics, computer science)
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a Data Scientist position
- Extensive professional experience in data science or a related analytical field
- Effective utilisation of SQL to query large volumes of data
- Proficiency in using Python for data analysis as well as development of production ready solutions
- Deep understanding as well as hands-on experience with commonly used advanced statistical and ML techniques
- Excellent communication skills, ability to efficiently explain technical concepts, analytical results, etc to non-technical audiences
- Ability to align data science initiatives with business goals, prioritize impactful projects, and foresee long-term implications of data-driven solutions
- Experience with any of the following tools is a big plus: AWS services (redshift, s3, athena, sagemaker), dbt, airflow, Flask/FastAPI, MLFlow, docker
