Join WPP's exciting transformation! We're seeking a skilled Staff GL Accountant to play a key role in shaping the future of our non-media business units. Reporting to the Chief Accounting Officer, you'll have a direct impact on our financial success by ensuring accurate and timely general ledger processing, including journal entries, period-end reporting, and balance sheet reconciliations. This is a high-visibility opportunity to collaborate with various business units and contribute to the implementation of our cutting-edge Workday financial system. What you'll be doing:

Take ownership of key financial processes and drive impactful results:

  • Manage the general ledger for our non-media business units, utilizing the cutting-edge Workday Financials platform.
  • Process and review a variety of journal entries, including fixed assets, intercompany transactions, tax, and treasury, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Play a vital role in period-end reporting and balance sheet reconciliation, ensuring financial data integrity.
  • Collaborate with business unit finance teams to resolve inquiries and build strong relationships.
  • Contribute to weekly and monthly reporting cycles, providing valuable insights to the Chief Accounting Officer.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of our accounting processes.
  • Provide support to colleagues during absences, fostering a collaborative team environment.

What you'll need:

  • A solid foundation: A degree in Accounting and at least 2 years of experience in general ledger accounting within a large organization (international experience is a plus).

The base salary range for this position at the time of this posting is indicated below. Individual compensation varies based on job-related factors, including location, business needs, level of responsibility, experience, and qualifications.
