Staff Accountant

Who we seek:

We seek a detail-oriented and motivated Staff Accountant to join our growing finance team. In this role, you will be responsible for a variety of accounting functions, including accounts payable, month-end close processes, prepaids, accruals, and intercompany transactions, and ensuring accuracy and effectiveness in all of the company's accounting activities, among other tasks.. The ideal candidate will have 1-3 years of relevant experience and a strong understanding of accounting principles. 

You’ll possess excellent analytical skills and an in-depth knowledge of accounting principles to efficiently analyze financial reports and forecasts. 

What you’ll do:

Work closely with the Senior Manager of General Accounting to complete the daily and monthly activities, including but not limited to:

• Review and manage accounts payable
• Prepare and post inter-company journal entries
• Weekly cash report - consolidate cash in and out for all entities and prepare a summary report for the parent company
• Prepare and update schedules for month-end close activities (prepaids, accruals, fixed assets, amortization, depreciation, etc)
• Participate in year-end close processes
• Create timely and accurate accounting reports and present them to the company's executives and senior management
• Take part in forecasting and financial standards-setting processes
• Support and oversee internal and external tax audits and tax returns
• Support business processes and accounting policies and prepare corresponding documentation
• Ensure the accounting procedures comply with GAAP requirements

What you’ll bring:

• 1-3 years experience in general accounting, preferably in SAAS companies
• Extensive experience with Accounts Payable & typical accounting procedures
• Good experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process
• Good knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
• Good practical experience with accounting systems, Netsuite preferred
• Good knowledge of financial accounting statements and business trends
• Good understanding of MS Office, especially Excel
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with accuracy and attention to detail
• BS degree in Accounting, Finance, or other relevant area
• Certifications such as CMA or CPA are advantages
