This position will be responsible for managing our Laguna, Philippines based global finance shared service center (SSC) supporting US, Europe and Asia based accounting and transactional activity. This will include managing and leading staff, establishing key metrics and reporting methods and working with global process owners. The Director will provide vision and direction for activities covering global Accounts Payable, Expense Reporting, Fixed assets, Bank Reconcilliation and Accounts Receivable processing. The Director will manage the continuous development and improvement of the shared service center to incorporate future accounting and finance services. The Director is responsible to ensure timely, accurate and efficient accounting, reporting, controls and transaction process are in place. Primary responsibilities will include:
• Set clear strategic vision for the SSC, and communicate upstream (leadership, customers) and downstream (SSC staff )
• Ensure alignment of SSC strategy with business requirements and effectively deliver SSC services to the internal/external customers
• Direct and oversee the day to day activities of the Shared Service Center including quality of services, team building and continuous improvement
• Develop key metrics and reporting processes to global process owners, work together with global process owners on process improvement to strive for best practice
• Effectively work and maintain key relationships with business area customers to ensure service requirements are met or exceeded for all service areas of accounting included in the Shared Service Center
• Ensure compliance with corporate SOX and key controls, adherence to US GAAP, IFRS and other statutory requirements and support for audit requirements
• Developing and implementing process and technology improvements, primarily for remote delivery
• Establish and support creation and delivery of staff training program
Education
Certified public accountant. A master's degree in finance, accounting, or business administration (MBA) is also desirable
At least 10 years of relevant finance experience, including several years in a senior management or director role. Experience working in a large SSC environment or a Sr Management in the Audit firm (Big 4) is desirable.
