Primary Function of Position
Reporting to the VP of People Growth and Engagement, the Sr. Talent & Org Development leadership role is an IC (individual contributor) role responsible for helping to design, develop and execute on talent reviews, succession planning, executive development, coaching and other leadership solutions. Successful performance in role will including partnering with business, HR and talent management leadership to establish and implement comprehensive, talent strategies to build and enhance Intuitive’s global leadership pipeline. This role is a dual role that will perform as a talent partner for US based leadership teams and maintain oversight of key global processes within talent management.
Essential Job Duties
- Design, implement and maintain effective global talent calibrations (9-box) and succession planning, including the transition to Workday enabled processes
- Advise and assist Talent Management & Development leads with applying enterprise talent strategies, solutions and process with local relevance and adaption as needed
- Work with regional talent management and development partners to execute annual talent management processes, including necessary action tracking and rollups for increased enterprise level or matrixed leadership reviews
- Partner with and support HRBLs as a talent partner for US based leadership teams, facilitating and supporting talent reviews, calibrations, succession planning and customized executive development
- Oversee executive and leadership coaching solutions and spend, including process and vendor management
- Maintain and enhance executive rubric for use in selection, development and onboarding of executives
- Partner with executive search, talent practices and leadership development COE teams to design, implement and maintain effective executive onboarding solutions, including new leader integration
- Optimize and support talent partner meeting routines to increase global leadership pipeline visibility and actions, including calls with talent partners, executive search and HRBLs
Required Skills and Experience
- Minimum 10 years of relevant experience (designing, developing and leading talent functions, talent management processes, or related HR solutions) with minimum 3 years at a global level.
- Excellent communication, facilitation and influencing skills necessary to collaborate and influence all levels of the organization, including VP+.
- Effective decision-making skills as demonstrated across a portfolio of solutions or services.
- Solid program and process design experience to design and optimize talent solution or processes.
- Well versed change management and leadership experience, including ability to work with a wide range of stakeholders to design and implement global solutions
- Demonstrated knowledge, success and thought leadership in talent management processes.
- Experience with talent measurement strategies, including succession readiness, talent pipeline health metrics, diversity of succession pools, etc.
- Seasoned analytic skills with ability to review data across multiple functions or organizations for greater talent insights.
Required Education and Training
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree in a business or HR-related field desired.
Working Conditions
- Ability to work remotely and onsite, including during business travel
Preferred Skills and Experience
- Relevant experience supporting a global med-tech or technology-oriented company.
- Experience optimizing talent processes in Workday (e.g. Talent calibration, succession, etc.)
- Certified in key talent assessment tools (e.g. 360 tools or psychometric assessments such as CCL, Hogan, etc.)
- Coaching certification via International Coaching Federation or other recognized coaching certification program
- Use of AI or other automation tools for use in talent processes.
- Advanced degree in field of study preferred (e.g. Master of Organizational Development or Organizational Psychology, MBA, etc.)
This role requires working onsite in our Sunnyvale office 2-3 days every week.

It would not be typical for someone to be hired at the top end of range for the role, as actual pay will be determined based on several factors, including experience, skills, and qualifications.
