Job Title: Sr. Staff Systems Engineer, Fly-by-Wire Worksite: 190 W. Tasman Drive, San Jose, CA 95134 Salary Range: $244,860.00 to $269,346.00 per year

What You’ll Do

  • Lead architecture, development, and certification of Archer's Aircraft Fly-by-Wire Flight Control System and its embedded software.

  • Define roadmaps, schedules, organize and prioritize the work, track, and communicate progress.

  • Propose and evaluate architecture concepts, perform trade-off analyses, and support the

    development of the Fly-by-Wire system and its embedded software.

  • Define and validate the interfaces between the Fly-by-Wire system and other aircraft systems.

  • Support the definition and execution of the certification plan, verification plan and procedures in

    accordance with ARP 4754A and the FAA aircraft type certification rules and guidance materials.

  • Work on development, validation, and verification of low-level requirements that are closely

    depending on the hardware and the software architectures and implementations being used.

  • Contribute to the integration and test of the Fly-by-Wire system, support laboratory and aircraft

    integration and tests.

  • Work closely with suppliers to select, procure, design, and build components of the Fly-by-Wire

    system, and to integrate different software components developed by Archer and/or the suppliers.

MINIMUM EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENT: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Aerospace, or related field.

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT: Aircraft Fly-by-wire (FBW) System Engineer or any occupation or job title in which 10 years of experience in development and testing of Aircraft Fly-by-wire (FBW) Systems and their embedded software was gained.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: Must be skilled in interpreting aircraft certification rules and guidance from domestic (FAA) or international (EASA, TCCA, and others) aircraft certification authorities.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENT: 20% International Travel
