Meanwhile, Ads products (PA, MADA, BPA and SSVA) are the marketing tools for vendors to acquire more traffic to their own shops to raise the brand awareness and grow long term unit sold. As the core part of “See more” vision, CouMall also leverage Ads to monetize the traffic and contribute profitability.

Job Overview:

CouMall team is looking for a Sr Staff Backend Engineer to tech lead the Ads landing domain projects, connect Ads and their own shops to maximize the ROI for vendors.

We are looking for candidate has very strong leadership skills, can fast learn new technologies. Be able to design/propose new architecture considering the end-to-end process of the application in charge of, to connect both sellers and consumers through ads and shops. Make value contributions for both parties. Keep evolving and optimize performance through machine learning and other AI technologies.

What You Will do:

We are looking for passionate senior leader to build highly scalable, low latency online systems. You will be working together with Ads management team for ads landing setup and automation; working together with Ads Serving team for all signals exchange and optimization; working on in-shop dynamic experience through machine learning technologies and systems to power and enhance the ads traffic results. You are responsible for maximizing the return of vendors’ investment on Ads, CouMall benefits/promotions and shop curation.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering or electrical/electronic engineering, mathematics or equivalent
• 10+ years of solid work with fundamental algorithms, system design, and large distributed systems
• 10+ years of coding experience in Java, Go, C++ or other strong types coding languages
• Hands-on experience in leading team to build large scale real-time service
• Successful experience of building rule-based model
• Fluent speaking and writing in both English and Korean

Preferred Qualifications:

• 10 years experience with handling large data volumes in a distributed environment.
• Senior tech leader for E2E business area delivery. Self motived and self driving. Can influence without authority, and work with product manager, front end engineer, ranking engineer to build new systems.
• Rich experience with service-oriented architecture and web application/services development
• Rich experience working with AWS (Amazon web services)
• Successful experience in building machine learning applications and systems including but not limited to ads, search and recommendation systems
• Successful experience in build GBDT, two tower and etc popular ML models
