Sr Staff, Sales & Operations Integrated Business Planning Manager

We need a passionate, highly skilled, experience and positive leader to develop and grow Twist’s S&IOP process and integrated business planning (IBP) process, ensuring alignment and prioritization of objectives / goals of the organization. Be seen as the thought leader who will be accountable to continue to build upon the current process and drive toward a global best-practice S&OP / IBP process.

The ideal candidate must have experience in developing, training and managing a team in a fast-paced, dynamic, cross functional environment. Position is an individual contributor with the possibility of leading the team in the future. 

What You’ll Be Doing [Essential Duties/Responsibilities]

  • Overseeing and lead process setup and improvements across demand / supply planning, IBP, and S&OP process to improve business value chain; strategic planning of inventory, utilization of manufacturing resources, and drive integrated executive alignment to improve customer service level, market share, working capital, cost competitiveness, and profit.
  • Lead the development and standardization of S&OP/IBP policies, processes, key performance indicators and education / training packages.
  • Manage all Pre-S&OP meetings leading up to and including Executive S&OP, both with cross-functional teams and with the Senior Executives team to drive decision making and alignment on the consensus demand / supply forecast with rigorous analysis resulting in options, risk scenarios, and recommendations.
  • Partner with Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Finance, Sales & Marketing, R&D and Engineering to optimize our manufacturing forecast to optimize efficiency and reliability; be able to understand constraints/limitation and constantly provide strategic proposal to Manufacturing Operations executives
  • Responsible for analyzing all data pertinent to the demand / supply / finance forecast (historical sales, market trends, seasonality, promotions) and ensuring risks are identified and communicated to key process stakeholders. 
  • Implement and present key reports to inform S&OP and business decisions. Responsible for the quality of forecasts in terms of accuracy, timeliness, coordination and communication. 
  • Outstanding presentation skill as this role leads executive level meeting to supervise the status of production vs customer requirements 
  • Lead cross-functional collaboration to ensure our business is positioned for long term success
  • All other duties as assigned
  • Follow regulatory and ISO 13485.

What You’ll Bring to the Team [Competency/Qualifications]

  • Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering or similar field required or equivalent.
  • 10+ years in any area of Industrial Operations / Manufacturing required
  • 5+ years in S&OP process required
  • Relentless work hard: Willing go above and beyond to deliver results
  • Working knowledge of modern manufacturing, material flow and improvement strategies (e.g. ELS, continuous flow, cellular etc.) and the ability to integrate those into the operation
  • Demonstrated understanding of financial systems and the key drivers within the manufacturing environment
  • Structured and well-organized thinking
  • Ability to communicate with all levels of an organization
  • Strong planning and organizational skills.
  • Hands on knowledge in SAP and Power BI

The base cash compensation for this California-based role is below. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for bonus, equity, and a generous benefits package. Final compensation amounts are determined by multiple factors, including candidate skill, experience, expertise, and location and may vary from the amount listed above. Compensation may be different in other locations.
San Francisco Bay Area Pay Range
$175,000$195,000 USD
