We are looking for a Sr. Software Design Engineer to join us as we build cutting-edge technology solutions!  This is your opportunity to be part of a team that is committed to delivering best in class service to our customers.

In this role, you will play a crucial part in advancing device production by developing and maintaining software that supports validation and manufacturing testing. Your work will be integral to a high-impact program focused on enhancing advanced technology capabilities. You will collaborate with both internal teams and external tools to ensure the stability and efficiency of software build and release pipelines, contributing to the development of innovative new devices and systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Support Hololens device production, focusing on developing PowerShell test sequences and ensuring smooth operation of software build and release pipelines.
  • Develop and maintain stable code for diagnosing device hardware issues and integrate data collection libraries to support the development team.
  • Champion software release pipelines within the team, ensuring build systems remain operational.
  • Work on automated code validation and release packaging for production and testing environments.
  • Provision devices through tasks like flashing, genealogy tracking, and data collection.
  • Enable communication through onboard peripherals (e.g., I2C, SPI, UART).
  • Encapsulate third-party tools and instruments, such as system process monitoring, log parsing, and instrument libraries (e.g., NI, Keysight).

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience in software development, particularly in hardware-focused environments.
  • 3-5 years of experience C#.
  • 3-5 years of experience PowerShell.
  • 3-5 years of experience MVVM (Model-View-ViewModel) design pattern.
  • 3-5 years of experience debugging experience in hardware environments.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a related technical field.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with WPF application development using C#.
  • Familiarity with automated test executive applications built on the PRISM library.
  • Prior experience in hardware teams with a focus on developing software for validation and manufacturing tests.
  • Thorough debugging skills and eagerness to work with new devices and systems.

Salary Range

Pay ranges vary based on multiple factors including, without limitation, skill sets, education, responsibilities, experience, and geographical market. The pay range for this position reflects geographic based ranges for Washington state: $140,000 to $155,000 USD/annually. The salary/wage and job title for this opening will be based on the selected candidate’s qualifications and experience and may be outside this range.
