The role of Business Systems Analyst is responsible for the investigation, analysis and conversion of internal customer needs into effective and sustainable technical solutions. The ideal candidate will have a demonstrated capability in collaborating with stakeholders at all levels to deliver results. Being well-versed in requirements definition and management, as well as excellent written and verbal communication is key.
Job Responsibilities
· Analyzes current business processes and make recommendations for improvement based on industry trends and professional business knowledge.
· Collaborates with cross-functional organizations to provide the best technical solutions to support internal end users in the Services organization and the customer support experience via the Extreme portal and Community
· Understand the needs of our Services organization to develop program scope, cost and timelines while meeting the business goals and on-going business value realization.
· Partnering with the IT technical resources, manages the technical design diligence process for large programs, track technical dependencies, scheduling reviews and pre-reviews, engaging the right stakeholders across various organizations
· Can easily fulfill various project roles leveraging technical proficiencies and domain expertise to understand the business objectives and discuss complex technical requirements, prioritization, trade-offs to meet business needs against the company roadmap.
· Specifically, this role will serve as a business analyst and solution architect, defining test scenarios for system and integration testing, along with partnering with the business Global Process Owners on robust user acceptance testing.
· Manages the portfolio of work for Services where technical requirements and work is required including migrations, deprecations, and tech stack simplification.
· Gather business requirements from business stakeholders, convert to functional IT system requirements and/or user stories, and guide development teams through the development process.
· Create functional design documentation and thorough System Integration test cases.
· Support the development of training material, as needed.
· Stay current with Salesforce platform updates, industry best practices, and emerging trends. Share knowledge and best practices with the team.
· Participate in all phases of the software development life cycle including functional analysis, development of technical requirements, testing, deployment, and support. Creation and management of project plan on smaller projects, as needed.
Your Experience
·
BA/BS degree in computer related field plus 10+ years implementation experience in required platform experience such as
Salesforce.com Service Cloud and Professional Services Automation solutions.
· Experience with Kantata PSA (formerly Kimble), knowledge article management, and community solutions such as Khoros preferred.
· Excellent written and oral technical and business communication and people skills with the ability to influence stakeholders and present to Business and IT Leadership.
· Ability to communicate functional information to non-technical users and business process and functional requirements to technical resources.
· Experience with full-cycle project methodologies, including Agile and Waterfall.
· Sound business judgment, a proven ability to influence others, strong analytical skills, and a track record of taking ownership, and influencing results.
·
At least one
Salesforce.com certification recommended, including but not limited to Business Analyst, Consultant, Administrator, Advanced Administrator, or Architect.
· Tools experience should include Jira, Confluence, ServiceNow and project & portfolio management software such as Smartsheet or MS Project.
· Perform Salesforce system configuration tasks and data maintenance, as needed.
