About the Role
As a team member of the RainFocus Business Operations organization, the Sr. Salesforce Administrator works with stakeholders to define system requirements and customize the platform, enabling users to get the most out of the Salesforce technology. We support a 250-person org with many complex integrations; we use declarative tools wherever possible in our implementation.
Essential responsibilities:
- Understand all aspects of our Salesforce configuration and technical/functional capabilities, including changes and potential system implications related to ongoing releases
- Manage tasks and projects in a fast-paced operations environment, driving all issues to resolution with a strong focus on customer satisfaction and efficient task execution
- Perform tasks related to the day-to-day operations, including sharing models, creation and maintenance of custom objects and fields, handling data migration, workflows, validation rules, flows, dynamic lightning pages, and integrations
- Partner with Business Analyst and other groups to optimize the end-to-end process, including monitoring, deployment, and production support
- Implement monitoring services to identify issues proactively
- Work closely with stakeholders and management to document, implement, and optimize system requirements
- Actively transfer knowledge throughout the organization, participate in knowledge-sharing projects to develop best practices, conduct technology/applications deep dive sessions, and mentor junior staff and new hires
- Evaluate the impact of new technologies proposed by teams throughout the business and review systems before purchase
- Review the impact of decommissioning old systems and processes and document these impacts for the business systems team to perform the necessary changes
- Serve as the subject matter expert in driving industry best practices for the CRM ecosystem and associated integrated tools
- Stay current on Salesforce releases, new features, product roadmaps
Required skills and experience:
- 3-5 years previous Salesforce application administration, development, or support with a minimum 200-seat environment handling all aspects of CRM and platform maintenance
- Salesforce Administrator certification
- Deep understanding of Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and Marketing tech such as Marketo
- Knowledge of best practices regarding Salesforce implementations, including design patterns, release management, deployment strategies, and testing best practices
- Experience with Salesforce developer toolkit, including VSC/Code Builder and DevOps tools like Gearset
- Expert knowledge of Lightning Experience, Analytics, Lightning App Builder, Flows, and Components
- Demonstrated ability to manage overall business initiative or several components of a large, complex project with direct experience in Scrum
- Experience with database concepts and data modeling capabilities
Desired skills:
- Salesforce Platform App Builder certification
- Experience customizing Experience Cloud and portals
- Experience managing Certinia PSA (Financial Force)
- Experience working for a SaaS & recurring revenue company is ideal
- Active participation in the Salesforce Trailhead community or local user group
