Sr. RMA Technician (Contractor)

About the Role:

Matterport is looking for an RMA Technician to support the diagnosing and repair of our cutting edge depth-sensing cameras. You’ll perform and document testing for returned systems, troubleshoot testing failures, and support the responsible recycling of system components.  The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with testing and debugging and be comfortable working with hand tools on mechanical assemblies.  Strong documentation skills and problem-solving abilities are required.

What you will do:

  • Document and test the condition of returned Matterport Cameras
  • Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues, reporting findings to management
  • Create, track, and close issues in our ticketing system
  • Work with Engineering to on root-cause-analysis and failure investigation
  • Perform reworks as assigned
  • Break down systems for recycling

Who you are:

  • Minimum 3+ years experience testing hardware components, PCBAs, circuits and systems
  • Understanding of electrical and mechanical systems
  • Strong word processing skills
  • Strong written/verbal communication, detail-oriented, and hands-on
  • Quality and process oriented
  • Methodical problem solving skills
  • Able to balance multiple tasks and prioritize appropriately

    The US base salary range for this full-time position is $29.26 an hour + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.
