Sr. Program Manager (5804)

As a Sr. Program Manager, you will lead and execute comprehensive communication equipment support strategies within large IT logistics and maintenance programs. This critical role involves overseeing financials, staffing, and delivery excellence for mission-critical federal initiatives.

What you’ll do:

  • You will be a technical problem solver on the team, identifying innovative solutions to logistics and maintenance management, and resolving issues and constraints through consensus and sound judgment.
  • You will develop, cultivate, and manage client relationships, and maintain lines of communication and delivery with government contracts and representative staff.
  • You will assist in team development while holding teams accountable for their commitments and removing roadblocks to their work; leverage organization resources to improve capacity for project work; and interview, select, develop and evaluate team members.
  • You will define and manage project management processes and champion ongoing process improvement initiatives to implement best practices for technical project management.
  • You will team build and promote the empowerment of the team, ensure that each team member is fully engaged in the project and making a meaningful contribution, and encourage a sustainable pace with high levels of quality for the team.
  • You will manage project financials and supporting contract documents ensuring a healthy project gross margin, appropriate staff utilization, funding and contracts paperwork, invoicing and payments, budge to actual variances, financial and staffing projections, estimate to complete and estimate at completion, project management review reporting, and, if appropriate, earned-value reporting.
  • You will prioritize, lead, and manage tasking of project team and completion of assignments.
  • You will evaluate, prioritize, and manage impacts of project scope changes.
  • You will collect and translate business requirements into technical requirements.

What you’ll need to succeed:

  • You have an active TS/SCI security clearance
  • You have at a minimum, a bachelor’s degree in Logistics or Supply Chain Management, Business, or other relevant degree or experience.
  • You have a minimum of 10+ years of delivery leadership of complex federal programs.
  • You have at least 3+ years specialized experience in leading communications equipment maintenance and logistics activities.
  • You have knowledge and experience managing all aspects of a comprehensive communications equipment supportability strategy, including its execution.
  • You have demonstrated experience planning, reporting, forecasting, producing deliverables and risk assessments, and stakeholder expectation management.
  • You have experience monitoring and managing the financials and staffing of large IT maintenance programs.
  • You have strong interpersonal skills including mentoring, coaching, collaborating, and team building.
  • You have strong written and oral communication skills and can provide clear and concise communication to executive leadership.
  • You have demonstrated the ability to determine and implement improvements to achieve program quality, standards of excellence, and customer satisfaction.
