Job Summary
The Sr. Product Marketing Manager for the Banking Industry is responsible for crafting and executing targeted marketing strategies that enhance the sales cycle, build brand awareness, and effectively position our products within the community bank segment. This role demands a deep understanding of the banking landscape, regulatory requirements, and the unique needs of community banks. The Sr. PMM will spearhead market research, drive sales enablement initiatives, launch and manage a strategic advisory board and collaborate with cross-functional teams to create compelling product narratives. The role also includes overseeing product launches, managing go-to-market (GTM) strategies, and continuously optimizing messaging and positioning to ensure maximum market penetration.
Key Responsibilities:
-Market Research & Analysis:
Conduct detailed market research on MeridianLink products tailored to the banking sector, identifying emerging trends, customer pain points, and competitive threats. Develop actionable insights to guide product marketing, and marketing strategies.
-Sales Enablement:
Develop and deliver sales enablement materials, including pitch decks, product demos, compelling business cases, and competitive battle cards, ensuring the sales team is equipped with the tools and knowledge to effectively engage with the banking segment. Leverage their subject matter expertise to partner with sales on deal strategy, specifically helping customers think through build / buy / partner decisions.
-Messaging & Positioning:
Craft and refine value propositions, messaging frameworks, and positioning statements that clearly articulate the unique benefits of ML products for community banks. Ensure consistent messaging across all marketing channels and materials.
-Strategic Advisory Board Management:
Launch and manage a strategic advisory board composed of select MeridianLink banking customer executives. Facilitate regular meetings to gather insights, validate product strategies, and build strong relationships with influencers in the banking sector. Use feedback from the advisory board to shape our thought leadership and marketing strategies into the community banking segment.
-Go-to-Market Strategy & Product Launches:
Lead the GTM strategy for new product launches within the banking segment, coordinating cross-functional teams (product, sales, demand generation) to ensure a seamless and impactful launch. Monitor launch success and iterate on strategies as needed. Own the product roadmap communications to ensure close alignment with other go to market motions.
-Marketing Campaigns:
Collaborate with the demand generation team to design and execute multi-channel marketing campaigns (e.g., email marketing, webinars, content marketing) aimed at driving product adoption and increasing market share within the banking sector. Track campaign performance and optimize for higher engagement and conversion rates.
-Collateral Development:
Create and maintain a library of high-impact marketing collateral, including whitepapers, case studies, blog posts, and customer testimonials, tailored specifically to the needs of community banks. Ensure all collateral is up-to-date and reflects the latest product enhancements and market trends.
-Customer Engagement & Advocacy:
Engage directly with key banking customers through presentations, user groups, and advisory boards to gather feedback, build relationships, and promote advocacy. Develop customer success stories and case studies that highlight the value of MeridianLink products.
-Performance Metrics & Reporting:
Track and report on key performance metrics, including product adoption rates, market share growth, and campaign ROI. Use data-driven insights to refine marketing strategies and demonstrate the impact of product marketing initiatives on business outcomes.
Qualifications:
-4-6 years of relevant experience in product marketing, with a focus on the banking industry. Proven experience in leading successful product launches and -GTM strategies within the financial services sector.
-Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Finance, or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications in product marketing or financial services are a plus.
-Deep understanding of banking products, services, and regulatory environments.
-Proficient in market research, data analysis, and translating insights into actionable strategies.
-Exceptional communication, storytelling, and presentation skills.
Strong project management skills with the ability to lead cross-functional teams.
-Experience in developing sales enablement tools and customer engagement strategies.
-Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Additional Requirements:
-Experience working directly with banks, either within the banking environment or in a consulting/advisory capacity.
-Ability to translate complex banking product features into clear, compelling, and customer-facing messaging.
-Demonstrated success in managing product marketing campaigns and driving measurable business results in the banking industry.

Salary range of $104,000-146,800. [It is not typical for offers to be made at or near the top of the range.] The actual salary will be determined based on experience and other job-related factors permitted by law including geographical location.
