Sr. Product Manager

As a senior member of the Value-Added Services division within the Issuing Solutions Product organization, this role will be responsible for the ongoing product development and expansion of the Visa Campaign Solutions (VCS) product which powers personalized cardholder communications, marketing campaigns and reward programs for both Visa and our card issuer clients globally. This role involves spearheading the development of new features, improving existing ones, and ensuring the overall functionality of the product.

Key activities include:

  • Leading the product effort to build and manage our roadmap and backlog.

  • Defining business requirements and translating them into product features.

  • Working closely with the development teams to find solutions around challenges.

  • Overseeing the validation and user acceptance testing of new functionality.

  • Managing the agile development process, facilitating meetings, and addressing obstacles.

  • Acting as the subject matter expert and liaison between US product and Bangalore development teams.

Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Product Development: Translate product strategy into detailed and actionable product development efforts for VCS products.

  • Process Improvement: Establish, document, and refine development and operational processes for the product.

  • Product Engagements: Lead close collaboration with project management and operations to ensure product development tasks are completed on agreed deadlines.

  • Operational Activities: Collaborate with business and technology teams to ensure the systems are operating as expected, resolving issues, and coordinating activities.

  • Product Requirements: Evaluate market demands and lead the development of detailed product requirements, specifications, and enhancements.

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

Basic Qualifications:
8 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or at least 5 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 2 years of work experience with a PhD

Preferred Qualifications
9 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or at least 5 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 2 years of work experience with a PhD
2. Strong leadership, verbal, written, and presentation skills.
3. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Visio, PowerPoint, tools like Jira/Rally
4. Expert knowledge of payments, Marketing/Campaigns Applications and best practices in card issuing and lifecycle.
5. Excellent attention to detail.
6. Strong project and stakeholder management skills
7. High level of comfort with data, files, and technical communication.
8. Collaborative working style.
9. Experience in Agile development
10. Negotiation Skills: Strong negotiation skills with the ability to resolve conflicts and ensure team collaboration.
11. Risk Management: Ability to identify potential risks and devise strategies to mitigate them
12. Ability to work independently, and with broad instructions.
2. Ability to synthesize complex ideas and passion for developing clear, effective, and compelling presentations.
3. Excellent data and analytical skills, working knowledge of Excel and MicroStrategy or Tableau is preferred.
4. Deep understanding of marketing automation technology.
5. Motivated to understand the evolving industry context and Visa.
6. Strategic Thinking: Ability to think strategically and foresee market trends and customer needs.
7. Adaptable to different work and projects.
8. Stakeholder Management: Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to interact with and influence decision-makers at all levels.
9. Regulatory Knowledge: Understanding of international software regulations and compliance standards.
10. International Experience: Proven experience working in an international setting and managing products across different markets. Familiarity with global market trends and customer needs.
11. Multicultural Competence: Ability to work with diverse teams and understand cultural nuances. Experience in building products for different cultural contexts.
12. Technical Expertise: Deep understanding of the latest technologies and how they can be leveraged to improve the product. This includes AI, machine learning, big data, and cloud computing.
13. Leadership: Strong leadership skills with a proven track record in leading cross-functional teams to drive product development and management.
