We are looking for a collaborative, enthusiastic and innovative product leader to step into the critical role of Sr. Product Manager for ExtremeCloud Platform to join the team.The Cloud platform is the basis for all applications and is critical to our ability to deliver the One Cloud experience in Infinite Enterprise. This role requires domain knowledge of SaaS application architectures and large-scale microservices-based applications.
This is an exciting position whose mission includes bringing leadership, vision, and best-in-class cloud architecture solution to the market. You will work in a fast-paced environment collaborating with cross functional leaders across product management, design and user research team and driving requirements with the engineering team to define an executable plan.
Key Responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Develop the cloud platform roadmap (epics, stories, and sprints) to deliver prioritized content and capabilities to meet portfolio priorities and integrations with other tools, technologies, and ecosystems. Articulate the value proposition for the cloud platform solutions.
- Ability to think strategically and tactically while managing through ambiguity, adversity.
- and conflict to establish focus and deliver against business goals.
- Foster a metrics-driven environment that encourages quality experimentation and sets high standards for measuring product success.
- Foster a collaborative environment with engineers, creating continuous feedback loops to ensure we solve the right problems and drive maximum impact for Extreme Networks.
- Exhibit robust problem-solving and decision-making skills, tackling technical and strategic challenges in innovative ways and leveraging data and intuition to make strategic choices in the face of ambiguity and complexity.
- Ensure thoughtful product evolution that addresses product lifecycle and adoption experience.
- Help evolve our customer engagement model, communication strategy, prioritization, and planning/road-mapping practices.
- Collaborate with other product leaders, engineering, and user experience to craft novel approaches to new and existing use cases.
- Entrepreneurship, a "can do" demeanor, and the desire to make an impact
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience as a Technical Product Manager with at least 3+ years of domain experience in data platforms, data analytics experience, or ML platforms.
- Experience building cloud platforms and cloud-based APIs. Deep understanding/ experience in data management, Big Data analytics, and/or cloud technologies is crucial.
- Demonstrated passion and experience in one or more of the following technologies: Compute engines (Spark, Trino), ETL Platforms
- Ability for defining, selecting, and implementing data management capabilities - data discovery, governance, quality, preparation, storage, integration, security, privacy, risk, and access - serving a variety of data consumers from data creators, data consumers, and data stewards.
- Understanding of cloud technologies from AWS, Azure, GCP and others, specifically: Elasticsearch, SQL databases like PostgresSQL, Apache Redis, Kafka, and Flink, and NGINX.
- Proven track record of managing and evolving a product portfolio and/or driving product vision and strategy
- A healthy blend of technical depth and deep domain expertise with a customer-focused mindset
- Comfortable applying a combination of qualitative and quantitative methods to define success
- Leverages product intuition and judgment to solve problems and make decisions without perfect information
- Insatiable curiosity to learn new domains, keep up with industry innovation, and constantly ask ‘why’
- Excellent communication skills; timely communication with clear expectations
- Drive execution with a cross-functional team, ensuring everyone is working towards the same goals and impact.
- Bachelor of Science or Master of Science degree or equivalent in engineering is desired.
- Preferred Location: San Jose, California. Remoted candidates will be considered if they meet requirements (Anywhere in USA)
