TEAM SUMMARY

The Visa Commercial Solutions, B2B Acceptance team is responsible for defining and executing the global B2B product vision for Visa's commercial merchant solutions.  This includes developing strategies and capabilities that reduce friction and enhance the B2B merchant payment experience.

We are responsible for the commercialization of new and enhanced products and services, research and thought leadership, and product engagement with our issuing & acquiring partners. The team serves financial institutions, processors, selected partnerships, and their clients by providing payment products and services to the large and middle market corporate, multinational companies, governments, commercial supply chain, and B2B segments. The B2B Acceptance team works collaboratively with VCS Global & Regional product teams, Merchant Services Accounts, Digital Partnerships and Commercial Sales organizations around the globe.

JOB DESCRIPTION

The B2B Acceptance, Product Owner is responsible for all facets of the product development life cycle for their assigned teams, including understanding customer needs, authoring comprehensive features and user stories, prioritizing Scrum teams’ backlogs.  This role will be part of a broader product team building Visa’s next generation virtual card automation capabilities and report to the Director, of B2B Acceptance Product Development.  This role requires strong thought leadership, influencing, analytical, collaborative, and technical product skills.  Proficiency in process mapping, feature and user story preparation and defining user acceptance criteria are critical aspects of successfully navigating this role.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage 2 co-located Scrum teams in Bangalore, India that will consist of both feature and Non-functional Requirement work.

  • Work as the prime communicator and a connecting link between product and engineering teams.

  • Communicate desired outcomes effectively to the technical team.

  • Responsible for defining business features and writing very clear, thorough, and detailed user stories using the Agile Scrum methodology.

  • Oversee the multiple stages of product development ranging from the ideation to the core of the development process, including sprint demo reviews and user acceptance testing.

  • Gauge product progress at every stage of the development process to ensure proper functionality.

  • Continually update, manage and prioritize the product backlog based on the project’s ever-changing and evolving needs.

  • Identify the development process areas that need to be improved and make all the necessary preparations for the following stage.

  • Display a high level of critical thinking and problem resolution.

  • Operate with minimal supervision and able to make informed, well-reasoned decisions independently.

  • Exhibit strong leadership, interpersonal and communication skills. Collaborate easily and successfully within as well as across organizations.

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

Basic Qualifications
13 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or at least 5 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 2 years of work experience with a PhD
