The Iowa Clinic is looking for a Population Health Data Analyst to lead key strategic analytical projects for the organization, focused on population health, value-based contract, and clinically integrated network (CIN) strategies. This includes but is not limited to building high impact business intelligence dashboards and reports, processing multiple complex datasets, and completing complex analytics and datamining projects. The Population Health Data Analyst will work closely with the Director of Population Health to support all data, analytical and reporting projects required for the department. This includes maintaining a strong understanding of all population health software systems and payer reports, as well as maintaining a strong understanding of all population health and CIN strategies. The Population Health Data Analyst will also work with the Director of Analytics and data team on broader team initiatives, including mentoring other team members and elevating the data culture of the organization. The Population Health Data Analyst will be responsible for building relationships with clinical and business leaders across the organization and partner organizations to identify and complete priority projects. Strong communication skills will also be required to optimize communication across stakeholders, including ensuring all projects are delivered in a clear and impactful manner. The Population Health Data Analyst will need to be a team player, but also a self-starter who can work independently, show curiosity, and demonstrate initiative to own complex projects.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in analytics, statistics, mathematics, engineering, or a related field.
- 3+ years’ experience in population health analytics or a related field.
- Experience working on population health, value-based contract, clinically integrated network (CIN) or related projects.
- Experience building dashboards and data processing with business intelligence tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or a similar tool.
- Experience with data coding languages such as Python, R, SQL or related tools.
- Experience leading complex business analyses, including working with business leaders to understand objectives and delivering results in clear and impactful outputs.
- Demonstrated experience with data reporting, querying, and manipulation of large data sets.
