Sr. Payroll Specialist

Pendo is looking for an experienced Sr. Payroll Specialist to join our exceptional Finance Team. In this role, you will partner with the Global Payroll Manager and Director of Accounting to own and streamline our domestic and international payroll processes. This is a highly visible role and an amazing opportunity to help build out and run the Payroll function at Pendo.

Role Responsibilities

  • Process full-cycle global payroll operations (currently in 6 countries and growing)
  • Assisting with payroll compliance matters such as multi-state/multi-jurisdiction tax withholding, garnishments, and key annual audits (e.g. 401(k) audit, worker’s compensation, external financial audit)
  • Providing standard and ad-hoc payroll reports as needed by various internal departments such as Finance, Legal, and HR.
  • Work closely with other functional teams to ensure that processes and roles are aligned in order to support the rapid growth of the Company.
  • Creating and/or maintaining payroll documentation as it relates to processing, operational procedures, compliance, and other payroll-related matters

Required Qualifications

  • BS/BA in Accounting, Finance or related field
  • 4+ years of experience in payroll 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Certified Payroll Professional (CPP)
  • Software knowledge: ADP Workforce Now, Workday, ADP Celergo

Compensation 

Our salary ranges are based on paying competitively for our size and industry, and are one part of many compensation, benefits and other reward opportunities we provide.

The expected salary range for this role to be performed in: 

  • Raleigh, NC: $84,000 - 105,000
  • New York, NY: $88,200 - 110,300

Individual pay rate decisions, including offers made within and over the expected salary range, are based on a number of factors, including qualifications for the role, experience level, skillset, and balancing internal equity relative to peers at the company.
