We are seeking a highly skilled Sr. Network Engineer to join our team in Los Angeles. In this critical role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our organization's complex network infrastructure to ensure optimal performance, security, and reliability.
- Design and implement large-scale network architectures to support our growing business needs
- Manage and optimize network performance, including troubleshooting and resolving complex network issues
- Configure and maintain network devices, including routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers
- Develop and implement network security policies and procedures to protect against cyber threats
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure network infrastructure aligns with business objectives
- Lead network upgrade projects and new technology implementations
- Create and maintain network documentation, including diagrams, configurations, and standard operating procedures
- Implement and manage network monitoring tools to ensure proactive issue detection and resolution
- Develop and execute disaster recovery and business continuity plans for network infrastructure
- Stay current with emerging network technologies and industry best practices
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in network engineering, with a focus on enterprise-level networks
- CCNP (Cisco Certified Network Professional) certification required; CCIE or equivalent advanced certifications preferred
- Strong expertise in network protocols, including TCP/IP, OSPF, BGP, and EIGRP
- Extensive experience with Cisco networking equipment and other major vendors' hardware
- Proficiency in configuring and managing firewalls, load balancers, and other security appliances
- Solid understanding of cloud networking concepts and experience with major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
- Scripting skills in languages such as Python or Bash for network automation
- Experience with Software-Defined Networking (SDN) and network automation tools
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a detail-oriented approach
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Proven track record of managing complex network infrastructures and leading network upgrade projects
- Knowledge of network security best practices and experience implementing security measures
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities efficiently
- Willingness to be on-call and work flexible hours as needed for critical network operations
