Position Summary:
The Sr. Motion Designer is a key member of the creative team responsible for developing compelling visual content that aligns with the company's brand messaging and marketing objectives. They are responsible for leading and mentoring junior animators, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and managing projects from conception to delivery. The Sr. Animator utilizes their expertise in industry-standard software and tools such as Adobe After Effects and Cinema 4D to design and produce high-quality animations that resonate with target audiences. They possess strong communication skills, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and maintain a high level of creativity and attention to detail. The Sr. Motion Designer contributes to the growth and success of a dynamic organization while continuously improving their skills and knowledge.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Designs and produces animations by utilizing expertise in animation software and tools to create high-quality animations that engage and entertain audiences. Conceptualizes ideas, develops storyboards, and brings designs to life using a range of animation techniques and visual effects
- Lead and manage animation projects from conception to delivery, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to a high-quality standard. Prioritizes tasks and monitors progress to ensure that deadlines are met
- Leads and mentors junior animators through guiding and supporting professional development, providing feedback and guidance on their work, and helping them to grow their skills and abilities
- Collaborates with cross-functional teams such as creative marketing and product teams to understand their needs and incorporate their feedback into the animations. Effective collaboration and communication are critical to ensure that the final product aligns with the company's brand messaging and objectives
- Maintains a high level of creativity and attention to detail by continuously innovating and exploring new techniques to create engaging animations from timing and pacing to color and composition, to ensure that the final product meets the company's quality standards and resonates with audiences
Ideal Skills, Experience, and Competencies:
- At least five to ten years of related experience in post-production, contract work, or agency staff
- Proficient knowledge of Cinema 4D, After Effects, and Photoshop
- Knowledge of 2D & 3D design and animation techniques
- Knowledge of the tech space to identify opportunities to create new and fresh content by utilizing new trends and tools
- Capable of working within the guidelines of an existing graphics package to maintain consistency and quality
- Possess excellent organizational and communication skills
- Must be flexible, deadline-driven, a great collaborator and must be able to confidently deliver graphics with complete accuracy and a high production value
- Must adhere to existing workflow and file structure
- Possess a strong sense of creativity and imagination with a willingness to push boundaries
Required Education & Certifications:
- B.A./B.S. in related field or equivalent work experience
Compensation:
- Qualified candidates can expect a compensation range of $100,000 to $125,000, or more depending on experience.
