Role

We are on the lookout for a dynamic and resourceful Sr. Mechanical Engineer to drive the development of our machine designs. As a senior professional, you thrive on translating physics engineering calculations into tangible mechanical solutions, with a keen focus on factors like thermal dynamics, strength, and stiffness. You can convert these solutions into partial machine designs and can prioritize complex problems.  

Responsibilities

• Take the lead on sub-projects, collaborating with key stakeholders such as the Carbyon team and external partners
  
• Conduct in-depth physics engineering calculations to underpin your mechanical choices, addressing critical aspects like thermal dynamics, strength, and stiffness
• Transform these calculations into (partial) machine designs, showcasing your ability to prioritize and navigate through complex challenges even under tight deadlines
• Demonstrate hands-on expertise from concept to detailed designs, embodying the go-to person for all things mechanical until the team expands
