As the Senior Manager of Sales Training, you will manage a team responsible for the development of world-class sales training strategy. Equal parts strategist, program manager, business partner and team leader, you and your team will develop training programs that build the core competencies of the Global Sales Organization.
You are a proven leader who will work with your team to set goals driving measurable impact. The ideal candidate will be action-oriented and energized by the opportunity to build an organization and process in collaboration with partners across Sales, Product and Marketing.
What you’ll do:
- Design large scale learning programs for our global sales workforce as well as facilitate trainings locally.
- Partner directly with subject matter experts to design and develop engaging experiences for the various seller role profiles and available delivery modes (live, e-learning, asynchronous) with clear strategies and tactics to achieve desired learning outcomes.
- Lead all phases of the learning design process to identify needs, define objectives, design the experience, develop content, document results, and maintain program curriculum.
- Support learning program updates by providing insight and feedback on best instructional practices.
- Define and report out metrics that assess learning effectiveness and/or opportunities.
- Partner closely with other Training & Learning professionals on the team to ensure learning experiences are fun, engaging, and help sellers adopt new skills and abilities.
What we’re looking for:
- 10+ years of experience in a high-performance sales organization in sales or sales enablement.
- Extensive experience designing and developing learning experiences for sellers, particularly on performance advertising topics.
- Evidence-based understanding of adult learning theory and how that translates into a work environment.
- Self-starter mentality with a track record of producing exceptional work with minimal supervision.
- Ability to manage global, highly visible projects and timelines that span multiple teams and multiple resources.
- Exceptional written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.
- Experience with sales methodologies, processes, and enablement best practices.
- Proficient in using sales tools and enablement and conversation intelligence tools like Salesforce, Highspot, Gong.
- Proven success in designing and implementing effective, outcome-based training & enablement programs using a suite of modern tools & modalities.
- Strategic ability to understand the priorities for Pinterest as a company and how learning and development can best address skill and knowledge gaps in the workforce.
- Ability to build strong relationships across the organization, work with stakeholders, understand needs, and translate vision into a clear, global strategy.
