The Sr Manager in R&D Systems for Computers, Peripherals (C&P), Networking and Cybersecurity, will coordinate and manage engineering personnel to identify, design, verify, and support the C&P and system level cybersecurity activities and deliverables associated with complex medical diagnostic equipment. The manager must have a strong leadership and technical background in the area of requirements & risk management, product support, and system level design.
This position is hybrid, 60% onsite, 40% from home.
MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Manages the planning and monitoring of post market system security.

Collaborates with system and functional engineers on system security architectures and detailed cyber security designs.

Supports the research and development of marketable products and technologies by organizing, assigning responsibilities, elaborating staffing plans and coordinating group activities by influencing key technical or business decisions.

Is accountable for management and development of people, resource and budget planning for Post Market Cybersecurity and C&P resources, mentors key individuals ensuring the integrity of the performance management process and individual development/training plans; also recommends salary evolutions.
- Acts as an arbitrator between conflicting objectives by implementing priorities and moderates the interactions between team members and with the rest of the department and with project and/or program management.
- Coordinates initiatives involving other departments and assures effective communication.

Contributes to or is delegated by his/her manager to the lead the creation or modification of procedures in accordance to department needs.
- Through his/her expertise, contributes to the research and/or development of specific technologies, products and/or services within the given schedule, budget and scope constraints and ensuring adherence to established scientific good practices and/or design control policies.
- Provides recommendations of improvements which integrate business criteria and assure quality assurance policies and good scientific practices respect.
- Collaborates closely with the Global C&P team.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

BS in an engineering or science discipline, or equivalent, with a minimum of 8+ years’ work experience with complex medical systems, or equivalent. Or MS in an engineering or science discipline, or equivalent, with a minimum of 6+ years’ work experience with complex medical systems. Or a PhD in a related engineering discipline with 5 years of leadership experience.

Prior experience with identifying/designing/researching technical C&P and cybersecurity solutions for complex medical devices

Ability to lead and direct others in a technical environment, and collaboratively work with members across multiple engineering disciplines.
- Ability to lead and influence in a matrix organization.

Strong planning and leadership skills, with proven ability to meet business objectives.

Strong business acumen in addition to project management and technical skills.

Experience in an ISO/ FDA regulated environment is highly desirable.
