Palo Alto Networks is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Senior Manager for Document Control to join the Technical Operations team. The candidate should thrive in a highly collaborative environment that values results with a very fast paced turn around. This individual will be responsible for managing the document control team for the advancement, administration and continuous improvement of the Arena PLM system in support of Engineering and Operations. The candidate will establish and improve best practice in process creation, document release, change order analysis and reporting. This position will report to the Director, Component Engineering in Technical Operations.

Foster Process Automation - Spearhead the integration of automation tools and technologies to streamline document control processes, significantly reducing ECO/MCO/DCO turnaround times from days to hours in some cases

Enhance Operational Efficiency - Lead initiatives focused on accelerating change order processing by identifying and implementing state-of-the-art methods to optimize workflows, improve data accuracy, and minimize manual intervention

Drive Problem-Solving - Utilize strong problem-solving skills to dissect complex issues, design innovative solutions, and continuously refine change management processes, ensuring the department operates at peak efficiency
- Responsible for writing, managing, and establishing the change management processes for Engineering Change Orders (ECO), Manufacturing Change Orders (MCO), Document Change Orders (DCO), Deviations (DEV), in support of new product releases and sustaining product activities
- Maintain item master, parts library, multi-level Bills of Materials (BOM) structure, part documentations in the Arena PLM system
- Partner with cross functional teams to support the continuous improvement of Change Control and Document Control processes for development and production items
- Monitor, maintain, and improve the use of Arena PLM system for process efficiency, documenting, CM activities and tasks
- Guide the Document Control Analysts with continuous learning, fine-tuning change management processes, administration of PLM system settings and license management
- Manage and support ad hoc internal requests, projects, and initiatives
- Act as an advocate and align with our company’s core values - Disruption, Integrity, Inclusion, Collaboration, Execution and WW Ops culture
Your Experience
- 5+ years of direct experience in document administration in a hi-tech environment
- Strong knowledge of Arena PLM system and/or an equivalent PLM tool
- Experience with system administration tasks such as updating and maintaining the workspace settings, testing updates, UI testing, and implementation
- Extensive experience supporting engineering, manufacturing operations, suppliers and EMS partners
- Ability to read and understand complex Bill of Materials (500 plus components) and associated engineering drawings, specifications, and documentation
- Familiar with materials planning and production processes
- Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Familiar with Google Workspace and its sharing capabilities (Gmail, Sheets, Docs, Slides)
- Excellent communication skills are a must, both written and verbal
- An organized self-starter, who can multitask and prioritize in a very fast paced environment
- Ability to work independently and seek support and information when needed - Drive for results in a timely manner working with cross functional teams in a highly collaborative manner
- Project or program management experience or demonstrate attention to detail with ability to analyze and follow through
- Leading cross-functional teams or provide suggestions with a critical decision making style from available resources

Compensation Disclosure
The compensation offered for this position will depend on qualifications, experience, and work location. For candidates who receive an offer at the posted level, the starting base salary (for non-sales roles) or base salary + commission target (for sales/commissioned roles) is expected to be between $122000 - $198000/YR.
