As the Senior Manager of Copywriting at Cars Commerce, you will lead a team of skilled copywriters and editors, driving the development and execution of high-impact SEO content, creative ad copy, and editing services across our digital marketing services. You are an experienced people leader and process manager accountable for improving processes and workflows by understanding and sustaining key performance metrics. A highly technical creative production aptitude is required. As a leader, you are no stranger to brand guidelines or client briefs, can turn quickly on deadlines, and can demonstrate best practices across content and digital marketing while being extremely detail-oriented. As the Sr. Manager of Copywriting Services, you must demonstrate the ability to cultivate a collaborative and high-performing team through effective mentoring skills, fostering professional growth, proficiency in senior-level conflict resolution, and providing strategic guidance to associate managers and individual contributors.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Regularly audit standard operational processes and guidelines, including quotas, timelines, and internal project details, to ensure delivery and manage employee performance and accountability
  • Create, analyze, and Identify areas of opportunities for production and workflows while understanding and sustaining key performance metrics.
  • Exhibits exceptional analytical acumen, adept at dissecting complex problems, and formulating data-driven insights to drive informed decision-making and strategic planning
  • People management, including mentoring, performance reviews, hiring, improvement plans, promotions, terminations, etc
  • Communicate and support our company and departmental goals and values.
  • Facilitate employee growth and development through weekly team meetings, regular individual employee meetings, coaching, training, and other learning opportunities
  • Collaborate and strategize across the marketing and product teams to manage workflows and timelines to ensure the timely delivery of copywriting services solutions that meet quality and production requirements.
  • Handle cross-departmental process challenges, showcasing a leadership style that fosters seamless collaboration and drives innovative solutions
  • Execute and implement compelling automotive-driven content while managing and maintaining the brand voice of all internal products, our retailers, and OEM partners 

Success in this role is measured by client satisfaction, content quality, employee engagement and satisfaction, and department improvement.

 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's Degree Preferred
  • Proficient in advanced written and verbal communication in English, with a strong understanding of grammar, syntax, and stylistic nuances
  • Minimum eight years of experience in a creative, digital marketing capacity, editorial or communications
  • Minimum of three years of people management experience, including leading large multi-discipline teams and managing Managers
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365, Google Workspace
  • Demonstrable process improvement and performance management experience

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Expertise in structure, content, voice, tone, and grammar.
  • Strong knowledge of best practices for multi-channel copywriting
  • High technical aptitude.
  • Expert in the elements of marketing principles and digital marketing strategies
  • Strong project and time management, organizational skills, and attention to detail
  • Exceptional analytical acumen
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Good collaborative, negotiation, and presentation skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Work independently as well as in a team environment
  • Proficiency in senior-level conflict resolution
  • Perform under intense demands in a fast-paced environment
  • Automotive experience is not required, but, nice to have
  • Working knowledge of Salesforce, Wrike, WordPress, and is a plus

In the spirit of pay transparency, we are excited to share the base salary range for this position which is not inclusive of bonuses, benefits or other forms of compensation that the position may be eligible for. If you are hired at Cars Commerce, your final base salary compensation will be determined based on factors such as skills and/or experience. If the salary range is close to what you're seeking, then we encourage you to apply and learn more about the total compensation package for this position.

Salary Range
$115,300$144,150 USD
